Unless Haas is injured or suspended, he’s definitely playing origin, don’t kid yourselves. Cheers Slug

Players association pushing for 18th man. AFL have introduced a concussion reserve this season. NRL will be following soon too, I'd say.
Has to happen in some form. You can’t have situation like Sharks and Raiders with 13/14 only for most of the game. Especially as they are only going to get more strict and monitor head knocks more closely, so running out of benches is likely to happen more not less.
Would also bring in independent (NRL) doctors to replace the club docs for head injuries, to avoid the rule being exploited.

I've got a feeling Haas doesn't make origin this year which would make him the dominant captain option that week
Reckon Freddie runs something like this
8. Saifiti
9. Cook
10. Paulo
11. Crichton
12. Frizell
13. Trbojevic
14. Radley
15. Murray
16. Finucane
17. Yeo
Faster ruck speed means more mobile middles and Freddie loves all those players
Saifiti and Paulo certainly much more dynamic and fit within the attacking motif of Freddy's origin squads. I didn't this Haas had much impact the whole of last year including Origin. Will be a wait and see for sure. Bring in Moses, Matto, Haas in that order most likely.

Kidding me. That is my 4th player out plus Pappy uncertain as well
What have you heard or just speculating? I'm looking to buy Papy next week but wouldn't say no to a cow trade instead

Yeah I can't imagine how many times doctors like the guy at the Rabbitohs have done the wrong thing to help their team out.

From my understanding it's just a simple formula to work out what a player's price is likely to reach based on their expected average
Using Alvaro as an example. Let's say he continues to average 40. This means his peak projected price would be 40 x 13,000 = 520,000
Meaning if he continues to average 40, his price should level out at approximately 520k. He was priced at 362k this week, so people would have brought him in on the assumption he'd make 150k~ which can be seen as the 'value of a trade'
So you could just use 13,000 x AVE = PRICE to determine if you think a player is worth bringing in or not based on the value they can put out
Looking at Egan here, he's priced currently at 467k but he scored 55 this week so he's projected to go to about 510k (using MTB's site). Taking out Egan's HIA game, his average his 58 this season. We can say that's just 55 to compensate for his inevitable shit game or another HIA - so if he averages 55, his price should get to 55 x 13,000 = 715k. 715k - 510k is a difference of 205k so there's plenty of value left in Egan. Though if he does average 55-60 he'd just become a keeper at that point rather than a money maker

I'm keen on buying Momirovski & he's up against Manly next week
Yeah CTR isn't the position to be spending big on but Penrith have the likes of Manly and the Broncos coming up so maybe Momirovski can keep up the scoring.
I might just run Roberts and Niu though if Roberts can put up an acceptable score today.

Was it a high injury count in one round last year which caused a special "extra trades" round?
I think they might do that again next week.

Opacic I think is looking better for cheaper because all his scores are in base basically
Maybe in hindsight I should have bought him instead of Alvaro to fix up my CTRs

Yeah maybe they'll just call up Gerry "This pandemic is the best thing that's ever happened to me" Harvey to get it across the line.

After 3 weeks the winners of cheap centre lottery are looking like Momirovski and Opacic. But I'd rather have Bird/Roberts/Niu plus 2 trades instead of Momirovski. I'm planning to stick with the guys I started until I have made enough cash to be worth it
Spending 800k of a 9.8 million salary cap (8%) of your cap seems much better than 1.2 mil (12%). Once squad value has increased and those 500-600k guys are a lower percentage of your total cap that when I tend to make the jump

Covid and the ‘bubble’ with no lower grade comps for reserves. Won’t happen again unless Covid strikes again and lockdowns happen with lower grades terminated. Cheers

I agree but I am probably going to have to trade to cover Centre
Bird suspended
Scott broken ribs
Averillo only C
So the question becomes, do I go for someone cheap like Niu or Robert’s or spend a little more cash and hope for a keeper.
I’m looking at Opacic, Niu, Momo and Rapana but it depends on price and what TLT throws up.
