Yes he's being named there but pretty sure they view it now as if it's a long term thing and not just covering injury

So if he doesn't get CTR (and for at least next 3 rounds) he'll just be a mid-ranger MID

Yeah covering injury isn’t a criteria for DPP so it would be a pretty ballsy pickup which could end badly

153k in the bank, no trades made yet.

    Brailey
    Watson, Crichton, Stefano
    Fifita, Riki
    Munster, Cleary
    Roberts, Niu
    Laurie, Papenhuyzen, Teddy

    Liddle, Turpin, Schuster, Moylan

    Milford, Alvaro, Simonsson, Averillo

No CTR depth but don't really know if I want to waste any money on a CTR right now. Also don't know if it's really worth keeping Milford in the EMG's when I have tons of HLF depth but trading out fit players this early in the season doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

A few highlight clips of Sam Walker below.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmRt1_v0R6I

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vOtTZODyOE

    Initial thoughts are:
Very Shaun Johnson Esque. Amazing step and speed to make line breaks and assists. A star to watch for sure!

    However, Initial questions are:

    • Will he get kick meters (does he have a kicking game)?
    • Will he run the ball being so new to the comp. I remember similar kind of hype around T Dearden only for him to be a fantasy flop.
    • Whats his defence like, how many missed tackles can we expect and how many tackle stats for that matter.

If he does the old shovel the ball on for the first 3 or 4 games, and doesn't kick I can see him scoring pretty poorly. Any insights?

Bryce Cartwright will most likely take on Will Smith's spot in the next week or two. With Dylan Brown and Niukore, that edge does not leak points any more. There is such a log jam of forwards working their way into the three other bench spots. I am taking the gamble. He only needs to play this week the get DPP (3 games) in Round 6. I don't reckon he is going back to the MID. He is playing like an extra forward (with tackles and tackle breaks for 80 minutes). Like having an EDG at CTR but available to be played at MID & CTR.

Sometimes you have just gotta go with your gut. He was named to start at CTR and will continue to be I am sure. Played lower grades there as well.

Wait no trades made this week or at all? That's an impressive starting squad! Nice one.

They don't do the 3 game rule anymore for DPP

It's more of a subjective thing as said

By Week 6 if he has played 4 games at CTR and none at MID, there is no way he ain't getting DPP. Fiona wouldn't dream of it.

    Munster, Schuster
    Niu, Cotric
    RTS, Laurie, Paps

    Turpin, Liddle, Arrow, Riki

Ideally I'd be looking to get rid of Liddle and Simo next and I'd love to get Egan + Norman/DCE/Some more solid half option, but no idea where that money comes from so happy to sit on this team for a while I think.

I have the same back 3 as you and not sure how to get cash for upgrades, thinking of doing something stupid in a few weeks and go rts to turbo and pocket hopefully 200k. This should help to get the likes of matterson and moses. If turbo goes down I'm fucked tho, so a big risk

Schuster. Potential to score well in multiple ways (Can break tackles, pass well, offload)
May also get DPP soon too
Basically manly are shit and he has been one of their main attacking threats

SOS while I don't think is bad, I rate Schuster slightly higher

Schuster seems like a pretty active defender and so is getting some good base stats off of tackles. He hasn't had the benefit of much attacking stats and has still managed to score around the 50s.

SoS makes less points from tackles but gains them in kickmeters and tackle busts. Whats his job security like with Paul Turner waiting in the wings. Personally I went for Schuster as I think he has a stronger base and better job security.

I’ve gone back crazy. Decided I wasn’t trading in two centres, I’ll play with only one this week.

Traded Tapine and Lam to S.Crichton and Papy.

I have a feeling Papy is going to banner this week. S.Crichton priced about right with some upside the next few weeks playing fullback.

Except now I have Teddy, Papy, Laurie and Isaako in my 17 and Simonnson in my NPRs.

Too risky? I could trade in a nice mid instead of Papy but that seems boring.
