Tough game aye. You'll have bumper weeks too and claw some of that back. 900 shouldn't be out of range for youHoly Moly wrote:Well, I'm getting blown away by the scores on here. 816 with Liddle and Laurie to go. A tough week but a lot of you must be feeling pretty darn fine. Well done.

I don't hear too many people or pundits kicking up a huge stink this weekend about the elbow/forearm to the head Walker put on earlier in the round. Two weekends ago people were calling for Kaufusi to be burnt at the stake for a similar "below the belt" shot. Am I wrong, if Walker pleads guilty he gets 1 week? Same as an early guilty plea for an accidental crusher tackle?
Funny how things like this seem to blow up bigger when Melbouren or the Roosters players are involved.
Disclosure: not Roosters or Storm fan.
Didn't see it TBH.
I tend to watch; Tiger's games, premiership contenders, teams that play a good brand of footy, or the late games.
Unfortunately Manly vs Souths didn't tick any of those boxes

Yup. Not sure Brown is a very smart coach. Would've said, AFB, LAM, Bunty, sprint at Walker every hit up - Eli, I want your shoulder hitting his chest as soon as the ball touches his hand. Easier said than done though, but they did nothingLoomer wrote:
I legit think he was overhyped and Warriors put zero pressure on him. What's wrong with that? Let's see him vs Storm, Panthers etc

Katoa seems to be going through 2nd year syndrome & you hardly notice him doing much.

There's was a few comments in the last thread that I participated in. I don't watch a lot of league news outside the NZ stuff post game and Bloke in a Bar / Clarkey, so not sure what media hype is out there. Walker and Latrell are class A grubs though.Finger Puppet Mafia wrote:Opening up a bit of a discussion or debate:

Maybe Walker is too smart for that? I would hope the game of Rugby League is smarter than just run at that small guy?
But maybe not

Its because he didn't come in at base price and had almost 50% ownership now he's overpriced and 1% ownership

Walker defended at centre/wing for the first few tackles of most yardage sets.
To actually run at the little guy you need to be able to break down the defensive structures to isolate him.

Pearce pec injury - depends if full rupture but minimum 3-6 weeks (if partial tear, otherwise 10-14 weeks with full tear)
AFB needs confirmation but if PCL injury 3-4 weeks

Eels forward Ryan Matterson was named to return from a head knock but was omitted from the squad an hour out from kick-off.
Matterson's absence in the second-row has again been taken by Isaiah Papali'i with Keegan Hipgrave promoted from the reserves to the interchange.

If I can go down by that much in a week, I can also go up by that much. It's a long season and I still like most of the players that I've got (all except D Walker, Gos and Fusitua). I'm not out of this yet (although I might be).

Said earlier that i was surprised Matterson was playing today. Why risk him against a team they will probably win anyway, with his HI history!my tv broke wrote:Matterson OUT

Sounds like he's one HIA away from retirement.
