Cant see them not having Lussick at 9 until Verrills returns. The worrying part would be does Keighran/Hutchinson steal more then 20-30 minutes off him

I think so, Keighran and Hutchinson are no starting hookers. Halves or interchange at best

I think Lussick continues to start being the only genuine hooker, but he probably doesn't finish games.

Could be the first 30 minutes then Keighran comes on to finish the game unless there is injury. Could be first 50 minutes with Keighran getting the balance.

One of the big learnings that I wrote in the postseason last year was don't assume 3rd string players have any job/minutes security. Randall, Jamil Hopoate, Paix, Fui all burned me on that last year.

Feel Lussick very much falls into that category. Started the season 3rd string behind Friend, Verills. Enough injury doubt around Lam/Keighran/Verrils returning & Hutchison changing role that his mins aren't safe. Purely getting his stats in tackles - nothing in terms of RM/KM/attacking stats makes his ceiling 40 at best. Robinson has already shown that even when starting he's happy to sub him after 30.

    Easy pass I reckon.

I just mentioned Lussick because I want a cheap cash out NPR that may make some money for 5-6 weeks (Then swap to Verrills)
People can do what they choose end of the day

I already have SOS,Walker,Schuster so he was the next best I can see for the price to reduce some of the money tied up in my 18-21 while improving my starters.

Is it without risk, no.... But the best fit for now.
Things change and there could be 5 better options next week

60mins + should see him score ok regardless who the utility is, he is a starting hooker in a good team.

People were happy to pay more for one Lachlan Croker to start the year, who has made 70k so far (Slowly)
There is the benchmark, while low Lussick should at least go better than that

I’m pretty sure the 6 week setback was from R1-2 when he was originally due back

I'm wondering if Haumole becomes an option. Manly said in their injury update that he'll be back next week. Dunno what Des is thinking but must be a chance to start over Gosi. Sironen is a few weeks away though so I'm not sure how things fall after that.

I was going off this article from yesterday where it mentions surgery on tuesday (assuming they mean 13th April)
    Then 6 weeks from there?
There is also articles a week ago talking about the setback too

It's cloudy but you would have to asssume at least 4-5 weeks ?

Starts over Schuster maybe? He is a half playing 2nd row to be fair

Yeah, its possible. Not interested in creating a debate over what happens in a few weeks time there, as really, who fuckin knows. Manly's form might have a lot to do with how things pan out.

I am actually tipping* a Manly win this afternoon Twisted Evil

    *my tipping is going poorly

Have to agree. If i was in charge Croft would go back to reserve grade. Dearden may not work out either, but its doing him no good to fill his head with worry about being subbed/dropped next week.

    Id probably look at
    1 niu 2 isaako 3 farnworth 4 copley (til staggs) 5 coates 6 milford 7 dearden

Copley sucks but he has plenty of experience at centre and can at least help there defensively.. maybe... ?

Put pangai back on an edge to bully one side of the park

Asiata start at lock and link the middle.

    Glenn bench/fuck off.

Play a paix or hetherington as utility.

Brinf kennedy in for flegler until flegler learns to stop being useless

I've got to say, I thought Glenn was one of the worst out there - especially given his experience.

From an outside perspective, the Knights showed how long and difficult it can be to get a good competitive, balanced roster together - (within the current environment).
The Bronco's showed how quickly miss-managing that balance (particularly experience) can cause things to fall apart.

Nevertheless, the Broncos probably still have one of the biggest sets of young talent there is in the comp, they're just lacking the balance with experience/personality types that a club like Penrith had to build a confident, assured culture (e.g. what the Yeo's, Koroisau's, JFH, Tamou, Tetevano brought) - if they can find a way to get that, then they're closer to being competitive than they appear at the moment.

I don't think their problems run as deep as what the Bulldogs, Cowboys and Sea Eagles are facing.

The Manly 2RF position I locked in preseason looking real good. Certainly wouldn't want to have burnt trades on Gos, Davey, Schuster and now Haumloe Beer

Nice will have a look, not locked into lussick by any means and wasn't trying to start a 50pg debate on him haha
Worst case I can sit tight another week, not forced to trade this week just prepping the haas lube for next week
It's a boring fantasy week so looking at all options

How long before the dogs give Topine a start, there is only so long one can put up with the status quo without making changes
He gave it a dig, can he get at least 30mins a week? HIA and in the $$$
Was also a gun junior (remember seeing him stand out in rep games too) and bleeds blue/white so not lacking in passion
The fans seem to be demanding he starts and not alot the dogs can do to keep the fans happy while they lose so maybe he shakes things up
Alot of ??? with how Barret uses him
