Haven't caught any games this year and struggling to put a new team together

Ahh almost forgot, how many minutes or PPM or is he a hybrid thingamajig/what's his ownership level like, I saw him first?

    Thanks

Welcome to the forum Freddy. Payne scored 77 wonderful points which exceeds your pre-requisite of 1PPM for origin selection. He is indeed a hybrid type player because as he plays for the Broncos, so that means he has to play every position on the field. So if you are low on fullbacks or halves to chuck in your centres, this man can do it too. He is also very hulking and knows how to break tackles. Tackle breaks help his fantasy score too which pushes his PPM up. Good luck this year but since we have Tino who is a fantasy dud, you'll be fine!

Oh, and that Cleary kid, he is good, but keep an eye on this Chad guy who is scoring great too in fantasy. Has better hair and a chin which is much more in proportion to his face. Very Happy

    NICE!

1077 here. Think I'll just put Roberts in NPR for a few weeks to build up his confidence. Niu seems to have more confidence.

As a side effect of that great on field performance, he also gets strong fantasy scores. No point being silly about it.

Haas shouldn’t be picked because of his defence. Yes, he makes a lot of tackles but he’s very passive. Very often stationary and very often 3rd man in.

Compare that to someone like Welch, who has amazing line speed, mostly first one in and is often upsetting the rhythm of the opposition playmakers. Welch has SOO written all over him. (When he was first picked it was because Cam Smith told the coach he was the main to stop Fifita.)

Hopefully Haas will get there - but he’s not there yet. In my opinion.

While you are at it, you should check out how many tackles he made and run meters. Far busier than any other MID in the comp.

That is the best argument. If Haas is playing 30 minutes high intensity off the bench in Origin, he will be a totally different player to 80 minute work horse conserving energy to get through the game at Broncos last season.

I hope Sims is selected for Origin, need some more mongrel in the team and to target their halves

Sounds like he got his try save and forced turnover on Feldt

Imagine Chad Townsend off the bench, he is even cheaper than Haas too
Solid role model for the kids too

I assume it was the try saver on Feldt. I said to Mrs Mulvy at that time (who completely igonored me) that should be TS and TO but I wasn't looking at the stats at the time though so.....just ignore me.
