All players in the Nrl would giggle weekly, when  seasoned player gets dropped, they know full well he is back the following week almost 100% of the time. This more so for Milf I mean. As for Niu, he is not yet established, but to consider axing him isn't warranted imo. Kevin is a big fail. How long he signed up for ?

What's going on at the Broncos is laughable, that Croft is in the mix.

Dunno why they don't try Asiata at 5/8th (or HYBRID PROP/HALF), he was always decent filling in there for Cowboys and at least he can tackle. This'll probably happen after the Penrith flogging.

Haha yeah, same story every week with those twitter "journalists".

I'm sure a lot of teams/players shift around at training during the week.

hahaha. surely not. but also he'd be straight back in next week after we lose 60 nil

Kev mustn't realise he averages 50+ in fantasy with a low BE

Actually seems like a cooked decision tbh

Tigers team list will be interesting this week too. See who cops the blame for the loss the most.

Yeah, difference is the local media in Sydney don't have the resources or the column inches to report on 9 different teams training sessions.

Kevy, though probably just defending his players, even said Milf 'had one of his better games' in the post game presser. He's definitely out of form but there have been signs of life there, defense he has made more of an effort.

There's no clear answer at the moment. Croft and Dearden together? Yikes.

Maybe Milford getting dropped is the last ditch effort from Walters to send a message to the playing group. Not sure what else they have left in the tank really.

I'd try hold him with the thought he'd be back a week later.
Fix the bench and rotations before anything else IMO. Yeah the halves are dishing up rubbish and yeah steering the team around and putting better kicks in for repeat sets/not 7 tackle restarts will help somewhat with defence (In that they do less and are fresher), but when the biggest issue is defence and its such a long way from where it needs to be that aint gonna be enough. Maybe having Oats in the forwards as a benchy could help, even if you shifted him to 2nd row rather than the middle, you'd be able to push Riki or Glen in. I mean we've run Simo and Kris off the bench and thrown them into the forwards, as well as the regular Havilli use. When other teams are bringing on smaller and more mobile blokes to target the tired defences you don't have to have a hulking giant in the middle, but you do have to have energy to bring some line speed, chase hard from marker and continue to slide out and help your edges so they aren't worried about the inside.

So for Broncos fans - who would you drop, and what team would you select for the next few weeks?

There's a lot of players not performing, but how many have replacements that will do any better?

Also the high unemployment in Queensland means they have nothing better to do than sit around watching Broncos train and tap away on their phones every few minutes Laughing

Who do you reckon? Tough to throw in kids like Madden and the Simpkin(s) twins in against Souths if they're making changes. Might be smarter to wait a week rather than risk them starting with a flogging rather than a fresh dawn.

Alot of people know it already, Kevvie is a nice bloke but you can tell from his press conferences and media interactions he's not a first grade coach. Very emotional and reactionary, even with the old heads around him they seem so far off the 'new' pace of the game. Stocks are not great, they do have some amazing young talent that could be hurt in the long run with what is going on.

Fantasy players would want Simpkin as 14, who has also been gunning it.

I'd be happy to drop Brooks for Madden as starter.

I'd also like Tui Simpkins to get a run

I haven't really watched him play, but Allan Fitzgibbon is quick and has a few tries in NSW Cup - give him a run on the wing.

I don't think Friz gets dropped, but could actually see Jurbo missing out. His and Manly's style of play is very 2015. I think Friz starting edge, Murray on bench instead of Sims is probably fairly close to the money.

If w'ere not playing Wighton at 5/8, I prefer Luai over the other options.

I also think Fergo or Tupou instead of To'o, who I rate, but I think would get targeted heavily under the high ball in Origin.

I don't think Isaako is doing a very good job at organising the defense but its not all on him. Macca used to organise and at the moment they're just headless chooks in our middle third. Our edges are constantly under pressure but no one pushes across from the inside. There were a couple of times against Souths where we ended up with 2 players to one side of the goalposts..

Pretty hard to fix this in a short period of time. Even harder if you keep shuffling the team.

I'd like to see Pangai put on an edge I think.

In all fairness, this is probably the best side he's ever put on paper. I like it, purely based on form. But understand where you're coming from with Friz and Jurbo.
I'd happily swap them in for Tariq and RCG.

Fitzy was scintillating in the CTRs when you guys won the 1969 GF. Think he's a little past it though.

Big week for the house, with his son allegedly about to be named Sharks coach too.
