Also got to question the culture damage that has been done there in recent years. A young player like him 10 years ago would not have ditched the Broncos, I'm almost certain

You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't when you're a club coming off the spoon that's still having cap problems.

The Warriors offered big dollars to a kid who was yet to play senior football.. tough situation for the Broncos.

Apparently there is no talent at the club but other clubs are lining up to offer our young players big dollars?

My memory on these things is pretty average. How is this test tracking compared to previous years in terms of team values? Seems to be high, with most teams 12m+

Also MTB and surmo, with your powers combined can you break Cleary for me? Surmounting him in and MTB using your avatar gift/curse.

Who am I kidding it will only make him more powerful

Yep true, cap pressures are really making this type of thing harder and I reckon the Warriors were pretty foolish in their offer to him.

But I think if their culture was in shape then he would have been willing to stay for a smaller figure to be a part of that.

Easy to just ask for big money when you don't really care if you stay or go

I've heard enough from people that spend time around training/club that the culture has changed for the better, but they're a young group that looks pretty scarred at the moment. Really lacking some onfield leadership. There looks like a lot of passive personalities in the group. The habit of losing really hard to break without big changes in the playing group.

Need to go to market. Finucane would be a good signing in my opinion. But need a strong spine leader, edge forward, probably a fullback...

Liddle out has blown my plans for no trades this week

    Cook
    Uto, Crichton, Watson
    Fifita, Riki
    Cleary, Townsend
    Roberts, Bird
    Tedesco, Laurie, Pappy

    J. Brailey, Liddle, Schuster, SOS
    Walker, Leniu, Fui, Niu

    Options I can see are
Liddle -> Simpkin (Walker to reserves, Simpkin to emg)
Fui -> iPap (Harris 70k over cap)

Or just Liddle -> Simpkin (gives me $295k cash) and hold till next week

Maybe leaning towards 1 trade and waiting?

Any interest in Campbell Graham? Has lost quite a bit of coin this season, and proved he still has it last week. Would think he scores similar to Momi for a slight discount.

Need a centre this week. Would be keen on a cheapie, but Hampton seems like the only option has looks to be too risky. Bird probably best option but open to opinions.

I remember when broncos signed Milford from Canberra, people were upset about the salary cap system letting a big club poach young talent from a small club.

Have the Broncos signed anyone of note since then?
Matt Lodge and Brodie Croft all i can think of, but am probably skipping someone obvious
Issac Luke doesn't count at the point he was signed

    Yep very good points.

Perhaps someone like BSmith after all his time in the Storm system would be a good fit. Would fast become a fan favourite.

As for forwards I reckon your spot on with a Finucane or perhaps even a Nathan Brown who will just run at the opposition all day for you and bring some heart.
Fullback, Dufty could go quite well at the Broncs IMO.
If they could also free up so cash to steal Reynolds from Souths then they would be more than halfway towards a decent squad.
Problem as always to do this is cap space though and money tied up in too many same same players

    Bump

Think I’m settled on Milf and Cheese out for Harris and Hampton. Leaves this team

    27 trades 81k bank

    Brailey
    Alvaro Angus Watson
    Fifita Harris
    Cleary Schuster
    Roberts Hampton
    Teddy Papy Laurie

    Turpin
    Egan
    Walker
    Stefano

    Riki
    Leniu
    Liddle
    Niu

Next week I can trade out Liddle for Simpkin if he looks like sticking around and this will allow me to upgrade Riki to Tevaga/Moses and move Schuster to EDG allowing me to put Alvaro back in the reserves if need be. Thoughts?

Not a lot of leadership in the fullback market. Think you have to take a similar approach to AFB>Warriors and go get whoever they want. Outside of that, Dufty, Moylan, Dugan, Hiku probably most experienced options. Halves I'd be looking to bring Maloney home for one final year. Edge best options are Capewell, Crichton or a gamble on a young guy

I need to bring in a centre to field 17, so I'm opting Ramien. Pretty solid at centre for a 38 - 41 ave hopefully, 45's = laughing.
