Rumour is that the Roosters approached his management. They say they're "keeping their options open".
I really, really hope it happens but I don't see it being his best option. I think Japan is most likely if NZR don't re-sign him.
In terms of the type of player he is you've nailed it. Is a real leader too which is probably what the Roosters need more of at the moment.
Very skilful and definitely knows where the try line is.

I'd traded Riki to Hampton all day (high end trades in this corner) but I decided to keep Riki and punt Moylan instead. Could really hurt squad depth, especially if Niu never comes back, but let's see how it plays out. I rarely recall a decision I was so conflicted about. Still not sure which way I should have gone...
