I recall that there was talk that he was dropped from Origin because he brought a level of negativity with him.

Then this year Freddie said something about how it was actually because Newcastle haven't shown the tenacity to stick with the good teams in big matches (not sure why that would be Klemmer's fault, but if that's the reason, then it doesn't seem to have changed).

His form doesn't seem as good this year as it did the last couple of years, so coupled with those other reasons outside of Football - it seems he's likely a very low chance of being selected.

Morning all. Another average week with a third consecutive drop in ranks seeing me drop down at around 5000th. Team isn't in too bad a shape considering I've saved a few trades so far. Keen to get your thoughts on who would be the most urgent trade outs this week?

Consider the guys in red as possible trade outs at this stage. Probably Turpin and Smith the most urgent?

27 trades, 385k ITB, so plenty of options

Three rounds ago I was loving my team and had moved up to around rank 350th and looking good for more climbing.

Traded aggressively to keep the forward momentum.  Prior years I’ve been way too conservative.

Three weeks on, three falls down the rankings to now beyond 3,000.  And now hating my team after a miserable 857 last week and problems galore.  

My last 3 weeks of trades have cost me about 100 points and cost me a few 100 $k.  Got too greedy and excited.  Got to find that balance  somewhere in the middle I guess.

I've updated the BEs on footystatistics.

The code is picking up anyone named as a reserve as a 'zero' score though, so this will be affecting BE's for anyone named 18th man at the moment. Will fix that today I hope.

Admittedly Im only playing on the VSDT comp, but why trade out Stefano? feels a little premature. Last week was a bit of an anomaly I'd say - first stint was actually really good and then game got out of reach and for all intents and purposes he didnt really have a 2nd stint. I plan on holding him till 13 on the assumption that he plays ~40min on average (2 stints of 20) and scores at about 40 as well. Or am I missing something..?

Wasn't saying it was a bad trade in, was saying I thought I had missed the boat on a key cow, and was fortunate that it didn't turn out that way.

Can't remember what the avatar bet for SOS average over 4 weeks was...... I think if it is confirmed he was dropped then it should count as a zero

Ditched him when he was getting less than 50 minutes and scoring 30

Then he starts playing around 70 minutes and averages 50

Yeah I hear ya mate. I’ll probably end up holding and hope the Tigers find a way to keep games closer just throwing out some ideas to be shot down

As long as O’Sullivan is fit I can’t see why they wouldn’t play him, played ok 3/4 games

Huh. Turpin&SOS could become TPJ&Ponga. Nice sounding trade. Uses all the bank though.

And cash generation is integral, with my team value at $12.7mn feeling only just on par.
