Unrelated, but we had Ash Barty's dad do a QandA at our local tennis club today - really interesting hearing about what goes on behind the scenes for a top international athlete.

Was really sad though to hear about some of the really vile stuff she receives on social media (people saying they hope she gets raped, that they know someone who can take her out etc.) - presumably a lot related to people's lost bets.

There needs to be real repercussions for that sort of stuff.

When Millman beat Fed a couple of years ago he wanted to quit because of the abuse he got, 

Should be an amazing moment for the young fella. Beating one of the best ever, highest position in a tournament and highest payout hell get and he wishes he didnt beat him..

Pretty messed up huh. Cant think of anything more embarrassing than to send shit to a player via DM. To get abusive is just fucked.

Devastated.. Brett deserved so much better then to go out screaming in pain... one of the best to play and I hope it isn’t his last game.. that is another double acl for the roosters.. I said weeks ago that I’ve never seen an injury toll like this in all my years watching and somehow it’s got so much worse.

I did not read his post as being disrespectful in the slightest, quite the opposite.
Obviously it didn’t go down well with some but I’m sure that was not his intention.
Also, massive credit to whoever it was that apologised for over reacting.
You don’t see it enough these days, people apologising for anything, it’s always someone else’s fault.

Vossy even made a point of bringing it up before it happened that roosters injuries usually happen in twos and I don’t think even he thought it was possible that it was going to happen again, sickening
