Since CT is out for 2 months, I've got the following trades planned (assuming Hampton is out)

    CT/Hampton to Cini/Ipap

I know it's a bit late to be buying Ipap but at the same price as Haas, dual position and playing first bye I think he's worth it. Doesn't seem to matter whether he's in the middle or on the edge, he's just a machine

Would leave me with 21 trades and the following team:

    Brailey
    Welch, Watson, Angus
    Ipap, Fifita
    Cleary, Moses
    Cini, Bird
    Teddy, Papy, Doueihi

    Schuster, Walker, Laurie, Simpkin

    Uto, Alvaro, Verrills, Momo

Can do uto to fogarty in one trade, saves the last reserve problem for me. Team will be:

    JBrailey
    Haas, Ipap, Watson
    Crichton, DFifita
    Cleary (c), Moses
    Peachey, Averillo
    Tedesco, To'o, Laurie

Fogarty, Schuster, SWalker, Roberts (free look at CHN)

    CHN, Walsh, Simpkins, Leniu

Josh Curran could also be a quick cash grab with 4 rounds to play before the bye. Could do Leniu to Curran but with Yeo on origin duty I'm sure Leniu should get more gametime.

I feel that given we have a finite number of trades and players like Schuster and Walker are putting up perfectly respectable scores it's probably a good idea to think carefully before punting them pre round 17.

Given injury/hia rests/SOO/suspension induced carnage it's unlikely anyone is going to have 8 or 10 trades to blow on sideways trading to get decent bye numbers for both rounds this year.

Yeah fair enough thanks Smile , better to go Fog then? I only have $1,289k to spend to Moses + Fog is bang on - if i was to go to TPJ then i'd have 579k... Twal/Yeo might work with Fog, but then don't they play origin? (still not sure how this whole R13 thing works)

I think Yeo's the only one mentioned that could be a possibility for origin. I wouldn't pick him, but played a couple of games last year.

What I am saying is that with Walker's 88 in his five round average he may peak after round 12 and be ripe for the picking to someone like Matterson/Api/McCullough etc for a straight swap. The bye rounds are also about quick money making plays. Selling high and buying low. For example, say if Burton drops cash in the lead up to bye round enough to buy him hoping he plays round 13 and 14 (Panthers play Friday Night) etc.

I think this is spot on. Trades are more valuable than ever in my view so I’m trying to hold onto them as best I can.

This is a good point too. Again, trades in hand become valuable here too.

If so, what about Cini, assuming he’s named.
If you need a more permanent centre, a no frills Hopoate is still below 400k.
Kelly and Cotric are probably the only others worth looking at.
I wouldn’t be riding the Joey roller coaster.

Nah, not a fill in. Would be my permanent centre until I am ready to upgrade (after all other positions sorted). I would have to accept I’d be hiding behind the lounge for the wrong reasons.
But having played Roberts the last 4 weeks (including a 0 this week), couldn’t be worse. Surely....

I haven’t watched the Dogs this year. I was semi interested in Hoppa pre season but his scores are very uninspiring.

Can you expand upon what you mean by that because I'm sure any of us would be happy to explain/answer any questions.

Ipap is a machine. Each week he keeps dominating when I was expecting to see some sort of drop off. Now I feel like it's too late to get him after having passed on him at the cheaper price.

I was thinking Matterson coming back may had made a dent but that was probably helped by N Brown going off early with his hip injury.

Be interesting to see if he can maintain it.

    I'll take a crack anyways.

Dragons, Broncos, Tigers, Panthers, Storm, Titans, Knights and Eels are scheduled to play Rd 13 from June 3rd-6th.

Origin I takes place Wed June 9th.

Unsure if origin will have an 18th man, but usually the 18th men are released to play Rd 13 for their club, but no one else from the NSW/QLD 17's will.

Rd 14 all teams scheduled to play from Fri June 11th, so there's the possibility of origin players being rested then too, but most seem keen to play.

Look you can't win em all... I think I've missed iPap and I certainly can't see myself ripping apart my team to get him. Congrats to those who got him, but I would need to be 100% certain of his role to grab him now.

Would you buy him if you have a guy you have to sell anyway? I have Thompson to sell, and can get IPap in if I sell Hampton to Cini (which it seems I will have to do).

I think my Eels bias helped getting him into my team after round 4. (just before he started to hit the 80s)

I don't think Walsh has a expiry date at all.

He is easily the most dangerous attacking player on the Warriors outside of Rog, and he is easily the best ball player already.

He's probably got the best boot in the team as well.

And he's one of the fastest players at the club in a team desperate for speed.

The Warriors look much more dangerous with him, after only two games. No way he's getting dropped unless he stumbles badly.

Looking at a couple of options this week.

    Alvaro and Welch out

    Haas Curran in

    Or

    Hampton and Alvaro out

Haas and Verrils in (or Cini to give me some centre cover)

I thought Walsh was good but over played his hand a few times. Will be interesting what happens when CHT is back
