I’d still probably get Cini for cheap, because you know CTRs and all

Yeah that's what you'd expect aye. And fus would just slot onto the wing for that guy that debuted last weekend?
Hiku also due back soon. Pompey's JS is shaky at best.

Just following up your insightful post from earlier, is Pompey's JS safe? I need a centre and really like his scores and his base. They still have aitken and fus to return but will he keep his spot you reckon?
Aitken definitely slots back in. Hiku and Fus probably preferred as well

Ah shit yeah I forgot about Hiku. MS (or anyone) if you could choose anyone besides Avo, what centre would you get for under 497k.

Looks like it with: "Munster will retain goal kicking"
The way Munster was kicking last week, I'd rather they let big Nelson have a go

Bird, Crichton and Cini would be my shortlist. Cini 200k cheaper is hard to pass up.

Underrated comment.
Bit like The Goonies movie.

Yeah those are all good options. I'd be happy to take the 200k cheaper player at centre, but is his JS safe? Don't wanna bring him in then have to trade him in like 3 rounds

Cini is the go if you have other troops coming back in the next few weeks, surely?
I know the first wave of Walsh fever is peaking but there could be a deadly new strain if CHT bumps him back to the bench.
The prevailing attitude on Walsh is "too good to drop' etc etc but NRL coaches rarely have fantasy interests at heart and usually if you are punting on something like this it goes pear shaped.
Edit : this all depends on whether you need a placeholder with a chance of some cash cow actions or you need an actual CTR/WFB in which case neither of these two guys are secure options

Well nah I won't have other troops coming back. Had roberts who is now out and Hampton so I need a centre to pair Avo with

Same boat for me so I will probably grab someone more secure. Bird seems like a reasonable option although not super exciting given high ownership. Still sulking so haven't actually looked at team/trades yet.
Re Walsh I thought it most likely that he and RTS share fullback/wing with niko/cht halves.. but that may not be great for points. Doesnt help me as I need a ctr.

Very possible the cash gen gets halted with a 25 point cameo or similar re Walsh.

I was really hoping Laurie wouldn’t play well because now I’m tuck with Papenhuyzen, Ponga, Teddy, Walsh and Laurie. All to good to drop. All to good for my emergencies but too risky on my bench

My thoughts exactly.
In my case I have Hampton there covering for Momo so I'm perfectly happy to take Cini as a cashout and 1 week play until Momo's back (if Momo doesn't get back in the team he's getting traded to Peachey)

I picked Farnsworth over Hampton the other week. Hasn't been a great buy so far but fills a hole in both positions.
FWIW I then picked up Hampton over Walsh last week as well .......doin' deals makin coin
