Wonder if the brown decision had anything to do with play being dead and so it wasn’t apart of live play?

Can't punch a bloke after a knock-on, don't see why kneeing someone in the back should be any different.mintotheimmortal wrote:Wonder if the brown decision had anything to do with play being dead and so it wasn’t apart of live play?

He isnt required to stand out of his way, was being tackled by another player and Teddy dropped late as a result of it. Penalty sure, but didnt intentionally hit him high, shouldnt miss any game time.BCT05 wrote:

Roosters can't hold onto the ball.
Ted owed a try-save, but hardly any attacking opportunities.

Stepped out for a sec, just back in time to see a shoulder charge to the head. Is Teddy okay? Did he go off/HIA etc?

Without everyone getting angry, I'd like to hear what Niukore is meant to do, I mean literally, in that split second ?

Hard to tell because it's half time, but he bounced straight up after the contact and didn't show any effects.

you said
"Realistically we all spend bugger all on centres, we all skimp out, most of us probably didn't commit to anything higher than 350k on one at the start, and that's a premium. We all roll the dice on rabble and hope we get lucky."
and
"I fronted the cash for Peachey and of course now centre isn't the ongoing issue for me that it is for others who haven't put the money there."
You are implying that Averillo, Roberts, Momirovski, Hampton, Bird got injured/suspended because they are cheap
You also imply that a chief reason Peachey has played every game is because he cost more money than other options.
I disagree with both opinions (with a caveat that Roberts was cheap because of past injury history, so I guess I can pay that as a somewhat risky option)
The only popular cheap CTR who missed games because he was dropped, rather than through injury/suspension is Tesi Niu, who funnily enough I never owned (and maybe you can count Seb Kris too)
"realistically we didn't commit to anything higher than 350k" is accurate.
That doesn't mean the next logical step is to look at a bunch of shitty options that are 50k more that people wouldn't reasonably look at lol.
Bird/Momirovski is about as expensive as anyone went. That's fact. So a little over 350k if you'd like to get semantic over what 20k?
I'm not implying they got injured or suspended because they're cheap. In fact I already outlined multiple reasons why cheap centres are going to create headaches. Feel free to go back and read them. Though you seem to be implying people get injured because they're centres lol. Even though a guy like Hampton wasn't even playing centre, or Averillo for that matter.
Roberts has had many injuries. It's part of why he's cheap. So, you got what you paid for.
Averillo hasn't been a bad option. He missed one game (so has Cleary) do you want people to go all season playing every game? You'll be disappointed.
However, due to that one game, many people bailed on him thinking he was gone. Spoiler alert, one of the issues I mentioned with these cheap players is their position isn't secure. So one game out, people fleed because they didn't feel the security. Funny that when you buy a 290k player not established in his squad. Nobody would flee if Manu missed a game.
Momirovski got suspended. So did Latrell. But Latrell owners absorbed that because they spent enough money in the position that they could hold him and still have reasonable wfb scoring. Or, they had enough money from trading him to get a reasonable replacement. Momi owners reverted to the cover of all the other centre rabble they've got if they held him as he was probably the one good centre they had (who was still much cheaper than the likes of Manu)
Hampton gets hurt, again people are like well I only have all these other shitty centres, and I don't want to spend the money on a good centre.
I'm in no way implying Peachey is playing every game because he's more expensive lol. However, fact is for his money you get
-more job security (which yes, can lead to more games by not having a Niu situation)
-less injury history
-more consistent points
-if he does get hurt I'm in the position I can buy any centre I want to replace him, not scratch the bottom of the bin for the next bargain option (like Lomax owners can do)
-if I lose my other centre (Bird) I don't need to stress that my other options are a bunch of cheap riff raff and the whole position has turned to shit for me because I still have at least one good option.
Did you spend anything more than what 370k for Momirovski in your centres? No.
Did you buy any good, established in their team, centre with no injury history? No.
Did you buy multiple cheap guys with injury histories and poor job security while trying to skimp out to spend your money elsewhere? Yes.
Do the math.

Exactly, he is preparing for Teddy to break the tackle and have to tackle him himself. Isn't going to wave him through like Darius would.Revraiser wrote:Without everyone getting angry, I'd like to hear what Niukore is meant to do, I mean literally, in that split second ?
