Certainly some luck, but also started with Bird and brought in Peachey a couple of weeks ago when people were still saying don't trade centres, or that's too much for a centre. I would normally agree except the guy is starting lock, plays the first bye and when I bought him he was in a pack which was likely to be missing Tino for three of the next seven games. Still have Roberts. Meh.
Same story for me, but I was never comfortable with Peachey, especially after the week I got him in he scored 31. Worked out well though.

Yeah priceless. I was like wtf.....why does he have to explain himself to a bunch of random NRLF fanatics on the interweb. Definitely suspect, and sounds like a more exciting Friday night than mine.

Have to agree with that.

Personally, I like the shitty Centre position where there are a multitude of potential choices that could be sound or flop - it gives some diversity. The Bateman/Niukore season was effectively 19 man squad's.
I love the challenge of the bye rounds. I like that it always feels like we don't have quite enough trades, and I like the fact at some point the acid is put on you and your team structure with unpredictable carnage.
It's the culmination of all those things that typically counteracts dumb luck and gradually let's good players rise to the top. It makes trading decisions more challenging and strategic, and playing a good game is seldom a procession through to the finish.
There's always opportunities to learn and improve as a result - if you're open to them.
I just don't think anything about the current system is that broke.
I'm sitting outside the top 5k, I think MTB, MS and Welshy are too - yet don't see any of them complaining about the game, and I guarantee none of them are throwing in the towel, and won't be surprised when they turn up at the money end of the season...

Good player, and would be a starter in most teams.

Would want to see him playing well before considering at all.
Yeah, I'll just wait until he hits his BE, whenever that is. With upcoming match-ups posted above, could be sooner rather than later. Origin won't personally be a factor for me if that moment comes before, but we'll see.
Depending on how Broncos look tomorrow, could be tempting to bring him in early if I see a big score looming, considering what his price will be. But I'm (foolishly?) expecting Broncos to not be too terrible for the next couple of weeks, at least.

Matto and Koro both looking prime next week. I'm drunk AF but surely I can go Stefano to Barnett this round with 81k left over and then A. Crichton and Welch next round for Koro and Matterson? Please help me I'm cooked

Looking at the roosters injuries and comparing it to a team like panthers who have just been purring along with pretty much the full strength team week in and week out just goes to show you how much luck plays in having success in this comp... also makes me really appreciate going back 2 back... almost impossible in the modern game.

I reckon that ankle is going to cause some problems when it cools down.

Don't worry about it brother we played bloody well tonight. If we can stay in the top 8 I'm stoked.

Our resident physio thought it looked like a Syndesmosis injury, which likely means a few weeks out.Khany wrote:Walkers draw lightens up a bit now til rd 14, if he can keep the body together he should destroy, broncos, cowboys, titans, raiders
