Suaalii would just be CTR/WFB cover at the end of the day so wouldn’t be needed when the rest of the troop are available.toast wrote:

Crichton, Turbo, Schuster, Simpkin out for Hunt, McCullough, Mahoney and Ramsey. 3 captaincy tier guns and a young talent with upside
300k left for next week to grab 2 more guns
EDIT: Koroisau as 18th man leaves me 1 short of where I wanted to be. 15 for me this week
Massive moves. With 300k left are you not tempted to hold Schuster and pass on Ramsey? Just use Simpkin as one of your three trades? As a one to one trade, Schuster to Ramsey seems very unappealing. I can't see you getting more than a handful of points from Ramsey this week and you could be very regretful if Schuster is back next week doing sexy things.

Hunt has a bit more upside assuming you are stuck with them for season long. Just based on JDB to get fit and McGuire to come back in. Add Vaughan and Lawrie to that and he’s playing behind a prett mean pack for the run home

Really regret not bringing him in last week and ignoring my need for Mid cover, but couldn't do it last week and definitely can't this week. The hundreds of grand I'm missing out on, and hundreds of extra points, is pretty excruciating, I cannot deny.

Lucy cleared gets me up to 12.
Any thoughts on the following?
a) Pap, Starling, Simpkin to Macca, TPJ, 379k or less (probably May)
b) Starling + Simpkin to Burton + May
18 trades left now, so 15 or 16 left depending on which way I go.

Anyone looking at bringing in Lucy now?
Trade out for me would be Schuster or To’o if I went through with it. Both are probably a tad sideways if they return next week

Around his price point I'd prefer Hunt, Macca or Mahoney. If you're in need of an EDG then CHN will be playing next week and still value at 560k
I'm stuck on the Schuster trade as well. Because I'm running low on trades I may keep. But could just flick him to one of those 3 I mentioned and hope for the best
Also have Starling to deal with who may or may not start again.

I have 17 trades left before any changes, is the goal to get as close to 13 on field as possible? Or just accept defeat and not try.
Current thoughts are Simmonsen, Schuster & Starling to Macca, Burton & Blore
This leaves me with 12 playing, and only 14 trades - thoughts??
Team:
Brailey
TPJ, Haas, Watson
Fifita, Blore
Cleary, Hynes
peachey, Crichton
Turbo, Teddy, Laurie
Macca, Flegler, Roberts, Burton
Papy, Crichton, Walsh, Cotric
any help would be amazing
Sounds like you’re a head to head player. If that’s the case:
1: Check your comp actually plays H2H. Some do, most dont.
2: if you are, check who you’re up against. Most head to head players don’t worry about byes and you may not need to trade to get a win.
3: if you’re safely in the top 8, don’t blow up your team chasing a win. Just keep building the best year end team. Saving trades for last 4 rounds is way more important for H2H players.
4: Personally I don’t think Blore is a good trade in for a H2H player (and now Lucy got off, for overall players either)
If I misread your situation and you’re not a H2H player, apologies, just ignore.

precursor wrote:What are Starling owners doing this round? I have the dough to turn him into Macca/Mahoney/iPap, which would give me 14 for the round. Would be a massive slap in the face if you trade him and he gets the starting spot back if the 'Hodgson on the outer' rumours are to be believed.
Couldn't punt him soon enough.
BE of 60, may or may not start again. I'll roll the dice he's not going to start again rather than risk him screwing me over more.

Reckon the NRL realised they were losing too many players to suspension and have therefore eased up a little?

It's a great trade for this week....not so sure about after that (do you need a centre??)
