I would have thought like last year and Friend, Mahoney plays the first 20-25 then Grant comes in from the bench. Could bring Mahoney back if need be or leave Grant if he's killing it. Massive risk with Grant as teh sole dummy half and could very well backfire.

I'm more worried about Green expecting Grant to play 80 off the bat in an Origin after the amount of footy he's played.

Maroons officials confirmed after Thursday's training that AJ Brimson did complete the session with his teammates despite not being present during their warm-up.
Brimson (knee), Cameron Munster (foot) and Harry Grant (hamstring) carried injury concerns into camp but the Maroons said all players completed the team’s first training session.

Yikes. Sharks definitely have some kind of plan
The Cronulla Sharks have told highly paid stars Shaun Johnson, Josh Dugan and Aaron Woods that their services are not required next year, freeing up $2 million of salary cap space.
New coach Craig Fitzgibbon broke the news to the three former internationals in the last 24 hours, giving them early notice to have ample time to find new clubs for next season.
There is strong mail that the Canberra Raiders are ready to pounce on Johnson as a replacement for recently departed half-back George Williams.
The Daily Telegraph understands the Sharks may consider early releases if Woods, 30, Johnson, 30 or Dugan, 31, can find new clubs over the next few weeks.
The players spoke to their team mates at training on Thursday afternoon to inform them of the developments.
The Sharks are building an impressive roster for next season with the signings of highly regarded Melbourne Storm utility Nicho Hynes and St George-Illawarra utility forward Cameron McInnes.

Dang Pink Gin is dangerous eh.
Seems pretty wild if QLD don't include Mahoney in their team IMO

Woods and Duges come as no surprise and it had been talked about for awhile that Johnson wouldn't be getting a renewal.
Will be very interesting to see if clubs make a play for them this year, ie; Johnson to Raiders with George Williams gone or Dugan and Woods to the glue factory.

Was keen on Turpin earlier in the week but went cold on him when my only avenue was Schuster or Haas.
Forum hype has got me so looks like it's goodbye to Haas now though.
3 trades: Haas/Simpkin/Brimson to Hynes/Turpin/Jones, and enough cash to get Fifita back next week

Does anyone know what viewership numbers are like for Sunday games? Personally, I don't enjoy them and they have one this week which is odd. 2 games on Sat would be better.

The bloke looks an absolute natural. What a dream debut. Hoping he can press on tonight.
Going to be a few late nights between these tests and the WTC final.

Does that not leave the Sharks short a halfback offloading Townsend and SJ?
You surely couldn't run with Hynes/Moylan as your halves. Wonder who they have in mind.

At last, so many Sharks fans over these two, let alone why were they ever signed. I noticed Woods putting a little oomph into his runs in the last 4 to 5 weeks, to little to late.
Johnson is a hard one, so enigmatic, very likeable overall. See who else we sign.

One advantage of being a kiwi in Aus is the 2hr time difference for games in England. Starts at 8pm here

Yup, managed to get through 2 sessions last night with the 8pm start before I had to call it a night.
