I write "don't hit kids no matter how annoying they are" on my forearm before half of my lessonsFortitude wrote:
Whats concerning is he needs to write it on his hand to remember his job.

Think AOB has shown his hand in last few weeks. Likes Barnett in the middle and likes Watson as bench impact. Comes from the Robinson and Bellamy coaching trees where your bench is used as a weapon rather than a bunch of "also rans"

CHN has to be the target and with my team value I need to look at players like him that are cheap and could be classed good enough to be a keeper.
However the only way to probably do it is trade a Matto or IPap or someone of that caliber down to him to get some coin to do something useful with Alvaro. Double down for cows is a strategy I can no longer afford and going to have to go the route of sideways trading and bank some coin where I can. Don't like it but there's no other way of getting some coin without significantly hurting my depth. Not looking great.

I also played hooker in juniors and would only ever run if both markers weren't square. Number 1 job is getting quality service where it needs to be

If AOB is copying Robinson and Bellamy's tactics then that'd make Robinson and Bellamy the stadium rock acts while AOB is the cover band at your local RSL.

Bit of armchair analysis here from myself but I played hooker for most of my Junior career and as strange as it sounds, having a run was one of the hardest things to force myself to do. Had a lot of really good players around me (we went a couple of years where we lost like 1 game in a panthers type run) so I often doubted whether I should have a crack myself rather than getting those other players quality ball. Since there was 12 other guys who could wind up with it and only 4 opportunities to take a run most sets (even less often enough if they've put a good kick in and the backs work it out), I'd always think i've hogged it and ruined an opportunity elsewhere. Oddly enough the occasions where I filled in elsewhere like the halves or out wider I never had that doubt as the decision had already been made to prior to me to pass it on and never felt like this in Touch footy where there are far fewer players. I mean these guys have made it to where they are because they've obviously got way more talent and likely more confidence than me, so chances are I'm way off the mark. But they are human so I could see it being possible that they may have come up through the grades running but put it away (or maybe the coach doesn't encourage it). God knows.
It's Friday and I'm procrastinating.

Don't stress mate, fully expecting some kind of injury to make the trade obvious for us in R13 or Origin.

Wouldn't stress yet, 3 games + origin to come. Suspension/injury could open a few things up.
Something will pop up I’m sure. If worst comes to worst can’t you do Alvaro to Verrills? He will be back soon.wolfking wrote:With tossing To'o and Walker for Hynes and Burton I have 10K and left myself in a pickle.
