So many Blues had a great game tonight, but for mine best on ground was Tarik Sims. The bloke was a workhorse, made so many good tackles, ran for so many metres and even set up a try. Don't think Angus will take his spot in game 2 tbh.

Ah crap. nrlphysio
Reports from the ground of a possible fractured cheekbone for Nathan Cleary, surprised he stayed on as long as he did if so. If fracture confirmed usually best case return to play of 3 weeks for adequate bone healing. General range 3-6 weeks. Hopefully just a laceration #Origin

with Cleary likely gone for 3+ weeks, what do we do with him?
Seems like an obvious sell but I doubt anyone has the trades to get him out and back in, let alone the money to buy him back

Well well a Cleary injury really opens things up.

Cleary’s so good that you’ve got to hold him, I reckon. Luckily I’ve got Burton who can fill in and generate some nice cash and then be swapped with a gun when Cleary gets back.

From Cody Kaye
"Despite the hole in his face Nathan Cleary was bullish about his chances of playing game II, ‘it’s just a cut, I’ll be there. Not too sure about Penrith this week but I’ll definitely play at Suncorp."

Considering the fact I've held Matterson (for way too long and then re-bought), Pappy, Munster and on lesser scales, Crichton and Fifita, I have little doubt about how I'll approach the situation.
It's worked awesome for me so far.

I'm less concerned about getting Cleary out and more about whether to get Burton in.

If Cleary is out for three weeks he only misses one game more than we thought he'd miss anyway, so whatever.

Cleary update 3: NSW medical staff indicate at this stage Nathan Cleary’s facial injury believed to be just a deep cut/laceration with no fracture present. Big sigh of relief for NSW and the Panthers

That was fun.
Still finding it hard to believe that Sims threw a pinpoint cutout pass while falling in a tackle. WHY DOESNT HE EVER DO STUFF LIKE THAT FOR US?!
Munster with the kick. Just like in the GF they lost to the Roosters in 2018. What a dog.
More concerned about Clearys acne than his fractured cheekbone tbh.

He will back up mate he just had 4 weeks off remember!rhinoceroo wrote:Latrell won't be backing up. Done more work tonight than he usually does in a month.
Best centre in the game, for some reason wanted to move clubs to be the fifth best fullback in the game.
He should only need to turn up with magic for 30mins against the Knights then I don’t care if he bludges the other 50mins.

Now I think there is no chance Cleary backs up.
Not sure on Tommy T, Teddy or Haas but I need them to back up.
With Cleary likely out I’m starting to panic on who to captain, I think I’d go Angus but not fully confident.
And on another note I’m beginning to get quite panicky on what to do with Brailey I’m just so torn on whether he’s a sell or not. If I sell I would get Thompson or Reynolds or I can wait a week and if he crashes again maybe look at AFB or Lolo.
Then I was gonna do Alvaro to SST but Robbo always fucks around with rotations so I’m not sure that’s gonna be a good move either.
