I'm pretty sure about two of the three trades I plan on doing this week, which are:
Alvaro to Simo
Momo to Avo
The issue is with the third trade, where I will be selling Laurie. I have three main options here, and need help deciding which one to take.
A: Buy SJ (0k in the bank) as a keeper, and then have to find a keeper at around 550k most likely in order to afford selling Hynes and Watson for Tohu and that keeper
B: Buy Timoko (300k in the bank) as a cashout, then safely go Hynes and Watto to SJ and Tohu next week with ~200k left over for getting Fifita back with after the bye
C: Buy Olakau'atu (222k in the bank) as a 17th/18th man and do the SJ/Tohu trade as planned next week. I trade some money that could be used for Fifita for a bit more depth in the forward pack, as I'm rather short of it at the moment.
I personally like (b) but that depends if watson is your back up hooker

I thought they mentioned in our game that Croker was due back in 2 weeks in the latest update. But he was also "due" much earlier than that all year so hard to put much faith in it. Would be happy if he stuck around all year personally, but don't think I have the trades spare to take the punt with the added uncertainty around Scott.Welshy wrote:
Yeah I made that move, but Paix keeps hanging around and Turpins service is Lichaa levels
How long is Timiko hanging around for?
This might be week for Cleary, been making inroads last 2 weeks and don't want to get sent backwards again
I say inroads but still ranking in the 11000s lol

Desperate for Fifita too, but he probably only plays two of the next four so even if he tons up twice a Rnd 17 50+ point player likely to outscore him. Will just have to hide behind sofa when Titans are playing
This is true to some extent however I feel I have good enough back up in my squad at the moment (my 17-21 are currently Jones, Peachey, Burton and Ramsay) that I can easily slot someone in for him the games that he is missing. Personally I want him for every game game he plays from here on out.

Tentatively going Laurie + Reimis to Avo + Simonson to push myself to 8 round 17 players with 11 trades remaining. The following team:
Macca
TPJ Angus Watson
Curran Tohu
Cleary Fogarty
Bird Averillo
Hynes Teddy Walsh
Moses Brailey Tupouniua Koloa
Simonsson Jones Schuster Talau
Will be holding Schuster if he stays in the starting lineup. Will look to field 10-11 in round 17, plus get Fifita in round 19 (doubt he backs up after origin in round 18). Will leave me with 7-8 trades left for injuries etc. Sorry if I break Averillo and Flanno is back next week

Schuster - didn't get through fitness test last week. They're being cautious and want him 100%, hopeful of return against Bulldogs.

The word 'hopefuly' doesn't sound great, but round 16 is two weeks away so that's good news for his return. I'd hate to hold him only for him to come back as a utility with Lawton doing really well. Considering a trade this week.my tv broke wrote:Posted yesterday - https://www.seaeagles.com.au/news/2021/06/15/round-15-injury-update/

Tentative plan Kami, Watson, Laurie to Harris, ARey, Simo and hope Simo makes 100k in next 3/4 rounds.
Next two rounds, Hynes down to someone like Talakai when Pap back. Moses across to Lolo/AFB or similar priced forward, Ramsay cashed out to eg Verrills. 12 for Round 17.
Post byes will have around 700k+ so Simo (at 450k) up to Pap and CHN or Schuster to Difita. Maybe enough for a luxury trade of Walsh to Trbo or Brailey to Cook. Hold on for the last 6 rounds white-knuckling 3 or 4 trades.
Brailey/Cook
Haas Harris TPJ
Angus Fifita
Cleary SJ
Avo Peachey
Ted Pap Walsh/Trbo
Koro ARey Lolo/AFB CHN/Schuster
SCrichton Talakai/Other Suallii Verrills
Best laid plans. Won't work out this way.

It’s a bit of a wasteland for R17…..none of Trbo, Ponga, Latrell, Teddy, Papy, even To’o are going to play and you probably don’t want anyone else
Other than Simo I don't see any round 17 WFBs worth grabbing. This makes Ponga, Latrell etc more appealing as they miss the same number of games as a round 13 guy, but score more points

Manly play last this week so I'm happy to hold and use him in a loop. It is disappointing that his return has dragged out so long. Would've been an easy trade out if we knew more earlier on.Snatchpato wrote:

I am considering Simmo back in as an alternative to Walsh, but to sit outside of 'best 17'..
Would allow me to get a proper gun after origin 3.
The alternative is get Walsh who continues to score well and is an easy transition to a Ponga in rnd 18/19

Bit stuck on how much to attack this bye round.
I could max trade and use 10 trades for 14 bye players and 6 for the run in. Just worried that I could get stuck with some of these trade ins and that they won’t be suitable keepers

I expect lawton might keep his spot and Schuster goes in for Haumole who goes to the bench. I sold Schuster but if I held him no way I'd be selling him at this point

Rate Hunt / Moses / Fogarty in a 1,2,3 ratio... would love some thoughts on who is the candidate i need to trade out this week for Ave.

Forgot about Walsh. I'm grabbing him this week
I need a WFB and he is easily the best one under 600k unless you want to gamble on Edwards/RTS/Rapana/Nofo hot streak

Anyone got Chambers breakeven? I won't be buying him to make cash but would be great if I could grab him at base price as a cash out. Seems he had a few weeks "below base" that he needed to recoup

The role in the side of all three is not promising.bigbruno wrote:Rate Hunt / Moses / Fogarty in a 1,2,3 ratio... would love some thoughts on who is the candidate i need to trade out this week for Ave.
- Moses is playmaker #3, but kicks goals and does a decent amount of kicking.
- Fogarty is playmaker #1 and kicks goals, but his KM in games are questionable. Doesn't have a high floor like other halves do (Cleary, DCE, Averillo)
- Hunt seems to be an equal share of playmaking with Norman, doesn't kick goals, and hasn't recently done much kicking in the gereral play. He does have DPP, though how useful that backup HOK is I'm not sure.
For mine in order of who I'd keep: Fogarty, Moses, Hunt (though they're all suffering from similar issues and I have no strong preferences).
