Looking at this through playing ability, not fantasy scoring, TPJ, Haas and Lodge are just not that great.

TPJ – someone on the last thread nailed it. He’s erratic with his passing, frequently rushes out of the defensive line on the goal line to let in a try, nowhere near the big enforcer he thinks he is – plays one good game in every 5, loves a big shot on a small back but often goes missing when the going gets tough

Haas – robotic, also makes errors defending on the line more often than a top player should. Takes hit-ups well but rarely uses footwork to create doubt in the defensive line.

Lodge – lucky to not still be in jail for what he did in New York. An average prop at best but always seems only seconds away from a suspension. Look at the way he stood on Cook’s face earlier in this game. Another wannabe tough guy.

Seriously, if these three Broncos pack regulars were any good, surely they would be pushing for a top 8 spot? They lose every week. I wouldn’t go near any of them. Kev is right to get rid - they’ll be perfect at the Tigers.

Haas is a very good player who was asked to do far too much from Seibold and has become a bit of a plodder under Walters. His line defence is excusable because he's still only 21 and learning. Also in Origin I he had a good game.

Whilst it won't hurt his minutes or points scoring ability, if I had to set my watch via NRL minutes, I'd still use Kapow 50-52 minutes as my constant.

Haas was much better in Origin than he's been for the Broncos, and you have to remember how very young he is for a prop. Has all the physical ability... put him under a decent coach for a few years and he could be an immortal

Pangai is a great X-Factor player who would shine in a dominant team with better players around him. Best offloader in the league (along with Taupau).

Lodge should still be in jail, yes.

I don't know why there's always such controversy/conjecture on here about Taupau's minutes. He *can't* play bigger minutes. He *has to* play short stints. He's on his haunches after fifteen mins every time.

Good scores the last few weeks.  On the up IMO.

Yeah I don't mind him as is for a Rd 17 guy. 47-57 mins and 50-54 average seems reasonable. Don't know if Jake or anyone's absence will change the formula much though.
