you reckon?? Tohu maybe. My thought is it likely still burns two trades, and most people will have to used two trades and two players in their 17 to get a cheap cash out and Cleary. Balance and depth will be very tested, particularly when the next injury happens.Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:

I'm tempted by Lolo too, but the match-up this week against the Storm has me worried he'll spend too many of his precious minutes watching Hynes or Pappy kick a ball through the posts.

Turbo obviously does too, but I think his floor is lower.
Yeah, I think if there's no fuckaround like last weekend, Fifita is the "safe" option. But are we comfortable assuming that won't happen again this week?
I feel like it might get him fired up going into this weekend and he could be in for a massive game... or so I'm hoping.

Hi lads, looking for a bit of advise for my H2H GF if possible please.
Team before trades w 115k cib.
Cheese
iPap Haas Angus
DFifi CHN
Fog SJ
Bird Burton
Garrick Hynes Walsh
Watson Matto Teddy Lhompson
Lawton Avo Lawrie Verrills
I need Turbo i think coz opponent has him, so Fog to Turbo funded by Lawton with a looping Deitz is one option.
I also like Fog + Garrick > Turbo + Lolo, but this doesn't leave any cheaty bench manipulation.
Thoughts?

Thoughts on my team? 6 trades left, $754k ITB
Brailey
Watson iPap Critch
DFifi CHN
Schuie SJ
Burton Bird
Teddy Walsh Ponga
Hynes Tolo Turbo Haas
Matto Scritch Kobe Verrils
Milk CHN/Matto for one more week and he can goto Cleary and Hynes to anyone else. Brailey and Watson the only weak one but hoping everyone else keeps him

Any tearaway I'm missing that is certain to put on a big score this week? Can't afford DCE, Hughes or Pappy, but anyone else is possible (and yes, I sadly realise that cuts out two of this week's most likely).
I already have most the usual suspects (Fifita, Turbo, Teddy, Schuster, Ipap, Mahoney, Haas, Crichton, Ponga, Walsh etc) and just looking for a bit of a left-field points guaranteed type of fella. No issue at all if it's only a one-week rental too.
Got my eyes on Murray, Lolo, Douehei and CHN but don't like Arrow on bench, Lolo against Storm and Douehei against Manly. CHN would mostly be to negate H2H opponent's POD. Anyone obvious I'm missing who's going big?
Hunt without Norman maybe a strong possibility?

Fogarty to Cleary doesn't impact HLF cover
Team after Moses trade:
McCullough
Haas Lolo Thompson
Fifita CHN
Schuster Fogarty (Loop SJ & Gamble)
Peachey Averillo
Hynes Teddy Walsh
IPap Crichton Latrell Watson
Chambers Gamble SJ Verrills
Schuster and Gamble feels like a pretty weak HLF combination this late in the season. Although it should only be for one round - even if Cleary is not named next week, then hopefully at least Fogarty will be.
I think Mahoney is absolutely a final 17 player. I'm not so sure about SJ after last week, but I'm giving him another chance. Surely he can't miss 9 tackles against the Bulldogs.

Tricky. The way Garrick's been scoring with Turbo and DCE in the team, could be a really nice POD to have in your team for the GF. So I'd prefer #1 of your two options. Lolo could be in for an average score this weekend against Storm.

Oh yeah I think a lot will be spending 2 trades if they haven’t been able to keep their cash reserves around the 500-600k mark for safety. I think I may have made the smartest trades I’ve made all year a couple of weeks ago, time will tell but I’ll be hoping for this team with 4 trades remaining after next week
Mahoney
Haas, Murray, Lodge
Fifita, Wilton
Cleary, SJ
Burton, Olam
Teddy, Ponga, Pappy
Radley, Walsh, Schuster, Mitchell
Watson, ARey, Brailey, Verrills

You could do Brailey to Mahoney and still have a nice bank for Cleary?
But you could also easily not trade and prepare for Cleary's return.

I am bit gutted that I have had to trade out Egan, was quickly turning into my favorite fantasy player this year and a great POD. Will probably have to change my avatar as well.

For a head to head grand final it’s good to know the differences between your two teams and the order of games.

Without knowing all the differences in teams - Trbo is one player who can lose you the title. So that’s wise. Garrick might be a nice loop option (ie could go big vs Tigers). Lolo ok. Mahoney too?

I'm in the stubborn 'I don't have CHN and no way he can repeat a 13 TB, 7 offload performance' camp. Plus I'd say Parra's edge defence will be much stronger than the Sharks. Matto and Papali'i are quality and big bodies, and Dylan Brown's defence is great. Mind, not sure which side CHN will be matching up on?
EDIT: Just read on EasyTiger's team tracker that the Eels concede the least Fantasy points to Edges in the comp.
EDIT: wrong thread. I'll just go ahead and give your post a thumbs down
Haha, no worries. Thanks mate. Yes, I must admit the Eels factor did play into my thoughts and does have me leaning towards taking a punt elsewhere.

Fun fact: Reuben Garrick has been the best cash cow this year. I haven't even noticed him at all in Fantasy this year.

Yeah, he's been largely unmentioned in Fantasy, but the talk of the town in Supercoach circles. I've still not ever considered him in any format, probably much to my detriment.

Same here, absolute toiler. I think you missed the game, or was that Sunday you were working?
He played on for 5 minutes after injuring it-every single pass he made from dummy half he got worse and worse till he couldn't stand anymore, which I think is why some people thought it was more a leg injury to start with. Even the commentators made no mention of it till he went for an HIA as the initial report.

With the injury news, trades are Egan > Mahoney
Moses > Schuster
Held Cleary, 3 trades left, $83k ITB.
Last planned trade will be Hynes to Ponga / Pappy.
Team after trades is:
Mahoney
Haas / AFB / Lolo
Fifita / CHN
Johnson / Schuster
Bird / Burton
Teddy / Walsh / Turbo
Hynes
I.Papalii
Angus
BHunt
Robati
Verills
Young
Cleary
That'll do Bludgers, that'll do.

@Teeth Eater and @Jumping Marlin
Thanks, there's 11 unique players as viewable atm, so quite literally anything could happen.
But yes i feel no Turbo is a problem. My option 1 would mean l**ping Lawrie and Lhompson/Avo tho.
Or maybe Verrills if in fact hell is going to freeze over this weekend.

Originally when Cleary was out I was thinking of maybe doing a “bridge” trade and upgrade Fogarty to DCE and then upgrade again when Cleary returns
Don’t know if it’s worth 2 trades but worse case scenario would be to be stuck with DCE
