    Brailey
    Taumalolo Haas Afb

    Bird Averillo
    Turbo Tedesco Hynes
    Hunt Watson Papalii Walsh

Save trades for me.  Anyone able to play a solid 17 this week should just run with it.  Thinking there will be a lot down to 1 or 2 trades after this week, along with the thousands that have none left already.

It is my initial thought, only concern is those 2 players injured are indefinite, Harris definitely and moses maybe, and 2 injuries could become 4 or more in no time, struggling to maintain a playing 17.
Cheers for your advice though 👍, I'll probably stick for now with what I've got, hynes and Burton, plus Johnson and Brailey on top of the 2 injuries are concerns too.

Team before trades this week. Wondering if I can hold off a week on trades?
    7 trades and 500k

    Mahoney
    Haas, Lodge, Radley
    Fifita, Wilton
    SJ, ARey
    Burton, Olam
    Hynes, Teddy, Walsh

    Watson, Schuster, Brailey, Latrell
    Pappy, Verrills, Moses, Fog

Have a bit of flexibility this week to deal with the Hynes/Pappy situation. Will steer away from Turbo and hope my guys can keep it respectable over the last 7 games.

    Thoughts guys

Formal apology to Mitch Moses for my shitposting last weekend. Dude's got a broke back.. If pain threshold is the main thing keeping him out, then I suspect his absence will be on the longer end.

If he's back next week, I'm gonna be forced to defend him every time someone calls him a cat Laughing

Get well soon Mitch. Watching Parra lose just isn't as fun without you there.

Even though you have no cash, six trades is more than most and I think you can probably get Cleary back, that's what I'd aim for. You can field a team this week and Moses and Fog's price won't change, so nothing especially urgent. I'm likely to hold both and see how it pans out. I know you like Laurie and he's excellent cover for WFB but he's a potential enabler, especially now that Manu gives you extra cover there. Otherwise you have four centres, Peachey or Burton could go. Hynes probably will need to go to soon. None of these things are urgent. If it takes four trades (even five) to rebalance and potentially get Cleary in, leaving two trades (or one!), it might seem scary, but if you spread those trades over the next two to five weeks depending on circumstance, and you have a full squad for the run home with one or two trades in hand, I think you'll be ahead of most.

Your forward pack and centres are world class. You need a WFB, not necessarily this week but it wouldn't hurt. Halves is the problem because of the current outs. If you plan to get Cleary, you can probably manage until then. I'd probably look at Fog or Moses and Hynes to Cleary and cash out. Probably need to raise some cash for that. WFB trickier, but if you bide your time could get a cheap Ponga, Pappy, or Latrell is already cheap.

Probably doesn't help much, rather general than specific advice.

Thanks mate, appreciate the thoughts.  The more I think about it, the more cautious I think I can be.  The WFB thing, that's why I was looking at To'o back this week for May be Moses and then Hynes can move on.  You don't rate him with the likes of say Ponga/Mitchell?  I could hold off a week and get Ponga next week.  After that would leave 5 trades to try and get Cleary.

The centres are hard to decide who goes as Bird still out 1 game to come, but still cover there.  Laurie is good cover but I see he's the perfect candidate for a cashout. The challenge is as you say I need a WFB keeper but also need 4-5 trades if I want Cleary. Tough.

To'o fine, I just prefer Ponga for similar cash. Alternatively, Moses to Mitchell starts the process of making Cleary cash.

Thanks mate, I'll ponder.  All 3 are fine choices really, it's only cause had I To'o early season and really love him as a player.  Ponga is probably the smarter play next week though.

Gut feel was get a WFB this week to move Hynes to move Burton to the bench, just for SJ insurance.  But that's being over cautious. Annoying if it's for Moses have to lock it in Thursday. I think Fog returns way before Moses though.

Need a WFB, I can afford Turbo JUST but I'm leaning Ponga and keeping the cash for a future upgrade.
Note: I'm a H2H player and almost everyone in my league has Turbo, hardly any Ponga's.

Anyone like Frizell as an option? Will be under 700k next week. Should score a couple tries with Knights juicy run home

Unless something changes I will be doing Tohu/Egan to Mahoney/Taumalolo . Leaves me with like this

    7 trades/589K ITB

    Mahoney
    Taumalolo/Haas/Crichton
    Fifita/Ipap
    Hynes/SJ
    Averillo/Bird
    Tturbo/Ponga/Teddy

    Walsh/CHN/Watson/Brailey
    Verrills/Fogarty/Roberts/Walker

Can do Hynes/Cleary in one trade with that bank, hopefully next week. Maybe another trade for Fogarty to give me a strong 18th man. But I fully expect the plans to go out the window after this weekend.

Tohu to Turbo this week. With Turbo getting the captaincy as well as he will put the Tigers to the sword this weekend.
Holding Moses for now, I've got either SWalker or SJ as cover, I'm expecting Walker to outscore SJ unless Shaun recovers enough to take on the kicking duties

The thing I like the most about the weapons team is you read the 1-17 and you have players like Thompson, Jackson, Hughes, drink water, gutherson, Wilton and you’re like “yeah pretty average team”. However, clearly not a pretty average team, killing it and you look closer at these picks and realise how well they have played out. I think my initial reaction was due to a bias towards the known performers, which is why my team is as exciting as a wet carrot in terms of pods.

Anyways kudos mr weapons for marking smart moves so far and not following the crowd.

Moses news has thrown a spanner in the works for my trade plans.

    Looking at 2 options now:

    Option 1: safe play

    Rd19: Tohu > Hetherington
Rd20: Fog/Moses > Cleary + Hynes > Ponga (would play with 16 if Bird serves suspension this week)
Rd21: Bird > Staggs (if Bird out this round)
3/4 trades left depending on if I do the Bird trade

    Option 2: risky play

    Rd19: Moses > DCE
Rd20: Hynes > Ponga + Fog > playing CTR base price (or close to)
    Rd21: Harris > Cleary
    3 trades left

The first option I can guarantee that I can make work. The second trade I'm relying on there being a cashout available next week, and that Cleary doesn't beat his break-even next week. I could do a downgrade to Harley Smith-Shields this week, but that would mean I'd need the price gap between Hynes and Ponga to increase this week to bring forward the Cleary trade

    Moses to Mahoney this week.

Tempted by King Gutho, because he seems to go large in fantasy whenever Moses doesn't play. But Mahoney seems the percentage (safe) play. And I can get Ponga next week or the week after for much cheaper than Gutho for all my WFB needs.

Holding Fog over Moses because of the certainty of return. If Moses is back R20 or R21, I'll be pained from the game twisting the knife yet again I guess. But if its R22 and beyond is so clearly not worth a hold.

Was tempted by Johnson to Schuster as a 2nd trade but it feel too sideways. At least until Johnson only scores 28 this week and loses another $40k.
