Nice & dark….I have just noticed The Departed on Netflix. For some reason I have never seen it…..good movie weather.

Cool film.
Watch A Quiet Place afterwards. Speaking of which, must watch the sequel...

9 probably had the pick for that game, is my guess.

I love all things Organised Crime (Sopranos/The Wire/Boardwalk Empire are my favourite Series ever) but I struggled a bit with The Departed. Also couldn't finish The Irishman, so seems to be the critically acclaimed movies that I don't enjoy as much which probably says something about my lack of taste

Yeah, that's one I watched when it first aired, really enjoyed it, haven't watched the sequel.
An absolute pearl of a hidden Netflix gem is EXTINCTION. Micheal Pena/Emma Booth/Lizzy Caplan. It has been panned like most Netflix Sci-Fi's and copped like 5 on IMDB and 40 on Rotten Tomatoes. But it is actually one of the best 'aliens invade Earth' movies ever in my book. And a plot twist that is pretty much unguessable.

Cool, thanks for the tip. I'll check it.

The only people currently locked out are those that have actually played (plus C and VC)
Everyone else currently has a lockout date of Tuesday midnight, I assume that will get updated tomorrow at some point.

Rewatched it again recently, fuck it's a good one.
I meant all the games from today would be played tomorrow but happy to take the L as I didn't clarify.

Movie recommendations;
The Tomorrow War.
Really quality movie on Amazon Prime or Pirate Bay. A little paint by numbers at times but overall really enjoyed it.
TV Series;
Afterlife
Ricky Gervais is grieving his wife who died of cancer, is contemplating suicide himself as an escape however he's got a dog and can't bring himself to do it. Absolutely hilarious despite the theme and the whole thing recently on TV that has made me cry like a baby. Chin wagging and all.

I think The Departed is ok but ruined by its absolutely terrible final shot.
The Hong Kong movie The Departed is based on (Infernal Affairs) is probably better imo, but I saw that before The Departed so knew the plot, which might have something to do with that judgement. #moviereviews

The best TV I've seen this year has been Spiral. French cops/criminals/society show with fantastically drawn characters, probably the best series since Sopranos/Wire.
Streaming on SBS. You can probably miss the first season where it's finding its feet... becomes something different around season 2/3 then keeps getting better. Took me about 3 months earlier this year to get through all of it, barely watching anything else, and haven't found anything to replace it yet. I can now swear incredibly well in French.

Souths requested to play the last game tomorrow after being mucked around having had to fly to Rockhampton and then back was a 6.5 hour trip all around.Teeth Eater wrote:
