Sorry lads. I’ll stop the complaining, in the scheme of things I’m not doing it as tough as some of you are at the moment.

Imagine holding him all year and this is the thanks I get haha
At least I don’t have to feel bad about keeping an 800k player on the bench, not worth the change under my couch
Who did you trade out for Hynes back in Rd 12 or so?
Pap to Hynes and back to Pap again was a pretty gun plan at the time. It seemed likely you'd have to trade Hynes back out down the line anyway, so it wasn't really a trade saving move to hold Pap and get Hynes too.

100% should have been the play. I’m stubborn as fuck though so was sure he would be back sooner rather than later and starting.
Trades that week was
Hampton > Hynes

Yeah that seems fair still mate. Pap's injury was probably given a shorter timeframe than I'm remembering, so the Pap to Hynes trade wasn't without risk too.

It’s something to learn from. Will always trade out a player who misses future games due to an HIA now. The timeframe is so fluid that it makes it hard

Yeah I do remember now questioning whether my decision to punt Pap was a rage-trade after holding for 4 weeks and getting an injured 8 in Rd 10. The timeline for Pap's return was a bit like Cleary's at first.. maybe next week.
The jacked up price and 100+ BE ended up justifying it for me, reasoning I could bring him back for cheap a week or two after he plays, but that doesn't always pay off with your Teddy, Trbo, Ponga, Pap, Hynes types..

Don't be silly mate, we all have these moments, I know first hand.
No one could have ever seen how this has played out truthfully so don't beat yourself up.
Fingers crossed you get a full game out of him next week which is looking likely.

Pap with 13, second week in my team. Goes down as the worst trade ever.
Asked this previously but either didn't get a response or missed it, do we have any fanatics in with a shot at the top prize?

Mulvy is probably the only real regular poster here that has a shot, sitting in the top 100. A couple of others up there in the FOG league but not sure if they post here much.

Howdy LB,
Following along with your posts (a lot more frequent than the Mayor through the latter half of the season - Mayoral duties and all) I feel that our teams have shared similar trajectories based on some similar decisions this year. There's always a few of us out there who fall into the same traps. Stubbornness mixed with optimism and the interests of saving trades seem to have backfired on the Papenhuyzen front for us both:
Then there's the emotional ride of this guy who seemed like a good punt in Rd10 and has been maddening since:
At least know that you're not the only one out there kicking themselves. The 'Topes have learned a lot from that experience which has never really been pertinent until this year.
Who knows, a few quick 70s to finish the year might be on the cards - and if not, at the very least he'll be cheap next year...
The Mayor.

He's cleaned that ATM out to the tune of about 300k so far. Must be a Sydney-based one, they've never seen that kind of money in Vic or Qld.
Appreciate Bellamy making him a special price for next year though.

Howdy Mayor.
Yes it has been a maddening experience indeed. Always something to learn from and like you said will go there again next year at quite the discount.
I guess that’s all we can hope for is that if he is starting in the last 3 games of the year then am hoping there is a score I can cheer for.

Pappy will be first picked next year!
CHN you dog - not sure whether to keep or sell now.
Did a last minute trade Mahoney > Grant as I reckon BS9 definitely gets a rest over the next few weeks and Grant is scoring well enough off the bench, without tries, but is always looking for them.
To play Scritta or Hetherington as my last bench spot...

VERY long odds. I'd need Cleary to play tonight and go well. I'd need to keep the rest of my team on the park. My PODs to go well. And I'd probably need a high ownership player I don't have, probably Ipap to get suspended for a couple of weeks.

I must say, I'm very nervous about cappo Cleary tonight, but what's done is done.

Have Cleary*, Burton, Haas (c), Radley, Teddy and Verrills playing tonight. There’s a disappointment in there somewhere

Im about 10k short (10k short is the total across both weeks at current prices)of doing fog > cleary and mahoney > curran this week to allow crichton to turbo next week. I need one of cleary or turbo to lose 10k this week, and I'm thinking cleary is more likely to lose cash given his higher BE. Would you:
1. Trade in turbo and Curran this week and hope that cleary drops 10k
2. Trade in cleary and Curran and hope turbo drops 10k
3. Find someone cheaper than Curran and Trade cleary this week, turbo next
