I'd say the Knights are still solid favourites for it, but I think whoever gets the spoon next year will win a lot more matches than this season - maybe something like 6-7 wins, which would give 16-18 points. If that's the case then there will be a couple of teams who are around that figure or not much better. Knights, Dragons, possibly the Tigers I reckon all won't have seasons much better than that, as well as a team that should go better but probably wont (like the Rabbits, Roosters and Eagles this year). It wouldn't surprise me if the Titans struggle as well.
There are always 1 or 2 teams that go shit out of nowhere, or slip a fair bit down the ladder.
The titans were lucky to make the 8 this year but who knows, having Hayne actually train at fullback, and with a spine of Peats, Elgey, Taylor and Hayne - they could be anything really. Ryan james, greg bird, Wallace, Douglas, McQueen, Hurrell... fuck me they actually have a brilliant side on paper.
The warriors will be an interesting one next season. RTS fit, possibly foran there, a new coach... will be interesting to see what happens but we can only assume they will do what they have always done.
Newcastle will be specials for the spoon but I think they will surprise a few teams - they might win 5/6 games next year. lol.
The sharks are a side that I think may slip down the ladder. Barba surely wont produce the form he has shown this year again after an offseason getting on the piss with the EBC again, ennis is gone, Gallen may not be back.... they could be in line for a fair drop but who knows.
The tigers will once again be in the same position - 8/9 but will come like 12th on for and against.
The eels will be interesting. They showed that when rorting the cap they can be brilliant on both sides of the ball but when they are not cheating they are just average. Wouldnt surprise me if they made the finals or if they got the spoon.
