Important to be aware that the players arent required to get vaccinated. Anyone know if the airlines require vaccination there, Air NZ do. If so, it may make unvaccinated players unselectable as they would miss some away games.

QANTAS & Virgin do, you need a Vax certificate to fly. so it will pose an issue.

I got the 2nd pfizer yesterday morning, and goddamn it kicked my arse from 10pm til 7am when I finally got some sleep. Shivering bad whenever I was on my feet, couldn't lay still for more than 5 seconds, random lightning bolt pains shooting through my jaw, arms and back at different times, freezing, then sweating, then freezing again.

Took a Phenergan at 3am but didn't do shit. A couple of panadol at 6am and that seemed to help get my head straight and reduce some pain. Still feel a bit weird, but think the worst is over with.

There is discussion that teams are looking to sack anti-vaxers. Hard to argue that it was safe for them to play last season when unvaxinated, but not safe this season.

That's the way society is shifting...soon if your unvaxinated you will be excluded from a lot of things like concerts, sports stadiums, malls, etc it may even put your employment at risk

Agreed, we're at the point where this virus will exist for a long time in society, but realistically older people or those with existing medical conditions will be vulnerable and there's not much we can do about it other than regular booster shots for those that need it. At the same time though, if you look at Australia compared to how lots of other countries handled this virus we've done really well to keep a low death rate so all those lives saved are invariably worth it

Anyway I've been mega bored this week since uni wraps up next Friday and I've been bludging all my last assessments since they don't matter too much. Momo to the Roosters means we can reasonably enough guess all first choice goalkickers for next year (please correct me if I'm wrong anywhere!)

Thanks mate, feeling a lot better this afternoon Not long woke up and wasn't drenched in sweat for the first time, and today's by far the hottest since Summer ended. Seems like the shivering and then sweating flip-flopping has cleared up finally.

Part of me feels like I wouldn't have gotten the 2nd one if I'd known it'd hit me that hard, but then again, getting covid probably would've affected me far worse and for longer.

Feels good to have the shackles released from the Australian Communist Party though.

That is already the case in NZ, cant be a teacher or work in the medical field unless you are vaxinated

They say that everyone will need booster shots as the effect wears off in a few months. I gather you would be unlikely to get it, or may try a different brand instead?
