I've been tossing up a team that went heavy in the backs with Ponga, Tedesco and Pappy.

I just think he is behind a few options (including Hynes). If he isn't goalkicking he loses a lot of his floor. Has an average of ~50 from rd19 last year when he lost goal kicking. He's priced at 48 so while he could go huge I think he's a tier behind the following similarly priced options:

Pappy - goal kicking and season average heavily affected by concussion/interchange appearances last year
Hynes - goal kicking and average affected by a few interchange games. Plays for a worse team this year but should be offset by playing half he should have more opportunity.
Tedesco - He's more expensive but he has a better average points too. Small upside with having a full strength team around him again. TB change affects his scoring the most but I see Tedesco as a better version of Ponga mainly due to being in a better team and teams can't focus in on Tedesco like I think they will against Ponga......

Don't think he's a bad pick. Just think he's slightly behind the above and with the cap being pretty tight (especially if people are going Turbo) I think it's just hard to get him in your team.

    Do you see it differently?

    What trend is next?!

CS9 to make a huuuuge comeback to win another title.
Sam Burgess to be thrown a life-line by the Tigers.
Vaughn enters the forum conversation as a "must-have Middle" as he's "a fallen gun ... ex SOO prop and will undoubtedly get back to his try scoring hard running best"

I had Haas but changed to iPap.

Haas just didn't recapture his massive scores last year. Averaged 61.6 as a starting prop and is priced at 63 and will lose points due to TB's and isn't a huge off-loader. Plus with guys like Carrigan, James, Robati, Jensen, Flegler (when healthy), Kennedy... there are a lot of forwards in that squad.

iPap is way more appealing for the same price... DPP, better squad, big minute second rower, can score a try, hard runner, big tackler, has an offload, and averages 65 as a starting second rower last year. Plenty more upside, dpp and better team did it for me.

I like ur thoughts for someone who felt 'lost'

If you can't talk someone into having a similar team, I'd consider online bullying.

Craig Fitzgibbon has covid, into 7 day isolation.

Some chance some players are affected in the coming days

It's a small, completely meaningless observation - but then again what else is this forum for?

Why does Crichton's DPP read CTR, WFB, but Paulo's reads WFB, CTR?

It's the same with the EDGs. Most are MID, EDG, but then Matterson and Whitehead buck the trend with EDG, MID!

Has it always been like that and I've just never bothered to notice, or are they getting lazier than usual?

Depends on their initial position I think.

That's what I thought at first, but wouldn't Hynes, for example, be WFB, HLF then? Or Aitken CTR, EDG?

RyMatt with MID/EDG is interesting. 683, priced at 55. Doesn't play the first bye.

With 3 mids on the bench he may move to an edge when Lane goes off, or Lane could play 80.

Loves offloading, concussions, changing teams. Not interested now, will watch the rotation and could pickup after 1st bye.

Have seen him picked, just don't want 3 Warriors. Even 2 gives me anxiety

Obviously everything is a guess, but what do you lads reckon the chances of Aitken staying in the back row when Tohu returns are?

Like does Tohu coming back automatically mean that Aitken will shift to centre or is there actually a good chance he keeps the back row spot? (assuming he plays alright)

Think Katoa is more likely to be bumped to the bench with Curran moving to edge

I've made a team I kinda-like with only 1k ITB. My insistence of including both Aitken and Burton as CTRs is fairly crippling though
