This comment is a mess, but Haas highly likely had no concussion symptoms, he likely stumbled or something that the Broncos dr missed but its an automatic HIA, hence why they have an independent doctor watching that stuff

If they’re going to have an independent dr diagnosing something like hia which is such a judgement call I really think they should be there and doing the tests. The way they are doing it now seems very half hearted.

Club doctor and trainers etc are on the sideline. Independent doctor watching on TV and has a list of things that count as an automatic HIA - things like loss of consciousness, stumbling etc

While I 100% guarantee the clubs and players bend the rules around HIAs, things do genuinely get missed

Had a handbags “discussion” with south’s Physio a few years ago when suaali was playing for them and got a head knock, clearly concussed but they left him on. No independent doctors there!

For incredibly bad concussion Concerns see Wales England games 2 weeks ago with Thomas Francis and how he got passed fit to come back to field by independent doctor
