Our impression Croker from his performances at 6 were that he was a shit fantasy scorer. Round 1 confirmed that. Most here make 2 trades after round 1, and you need to trade out 2 players to make that happen.

They tend to be those that score poorly, and that the worst case narrative of those that didn't select them is confirmed, with those who didn't pick them, saying "I told you so".

I prefer to move players on who didn't get the role I was expecting, rather than one poor score. I'll let someone try to redeem themselves, often for too long TBH. Will hold Ilias for next week at least.

Rookie half with a lot of errors in a team who played poorly and were badly beaten (even if the scoreline didn't reflect that). He's in the same price bracket as your Valimae's and Tuilagi's- if he doesnt start making cash this week there is always next. With the uncertainty around Walters, his HLF position is invaluable and might be my only backup by next round. I have a $200k warchest and could swap him to Tago for a pittance, but I think I am going to leave Ilias for a while longer.

Last year I ditched a $300k Croker after his 24 in R1 and he went on to average 43 with $280k in price rises. I'm not saying that Ilias is going to average anything like that, but the 34 he needs still isn't a huge stretch and the takeaway is that you just can't make a good judgement after one game.

I won't be worried until next Tuesday.

He won't be leaving my team unless he is dropped.

I'm more worried now about not being to get Cleary. The panthers are going to have another all time year it seems.

That 200k will be mighty handy fixing this week’s fuck ups.

Not sure who to bring in this week though. Doesn’t have to be a Hooker and will be 14-17.

You bring in a Hooker answering the door like that would make for an eventful afternoon.

Scratch that. Will play the long game and see what TLT brings. No bottom dollar players I want that I don’t have left to play.

Yes on all counts, but I have to admit that I did sort of hold on to Croker by accident last year. Bigger fish to fry in the early rounds and then he just kept rolling on.

If you're going to do that, I'd probably prefer to take Smith's points this week.

Fletcher Baker (240k) switches to starting prop, JWH bench Shocked

Knights 1-17 (probably even more shocking that Mann didn't do a Watson and move to the bench)

For the love of god, someone talk me out of bringing in Collins and Baker. Honestly Fletcher Baker, Egan butcher, and Collins are our future props.

jEDIT: That was the tins talking, just saw Baker's scores at prop. It's likely he only plays like 25 mins to start us off.

What round do we reckon Cleary is back? I’ll be boring and say round 4.

Has anyone kept 100-200k spare to help get him in?

Baker designated edg & on a podcast I listened to they gave him big wraps due to the 240k price tag.
