starting to think i'll just go SJ to Burton, base stats are there for some big scores, and i've realized Schneider should probably be the reminder not to go trading out green dots for the sake of it, especially in covid times, will put a couple blokes on notice and keep an eye on them.

Storm had 3 players go down and he still only got 41 minutes. Tells you all you need to know. Some players are pegged to a role, regardless of circumstances.Alfie wrote:anyone thought about big Nelson?

Both Nanai and Gilbert played awesome, were both in everything, huge workload and looking dangerous. Luki was pretty average.Finger Puppet Mafia wrote:I am nervous brining in Nanai this week. The JTB injury throughout whatever plan I had to 'have a cheeky round 1 look'. I just don't know how big Luki fits into it. Everyone cheering about Nanai and Gilbert but one of those is surely going to take a hit in minutes from round one starting this weekend.
Did anyone watch the game and see how he went?

Yeah it is either him or J.King as my trade. Need to stay around that price or lower to allow the double trade to get Haas in. I still rate J.King, but am racking my brain thinking there must be another guy about to come and take his place soon.
Please don't trade in JKing over Nanai, just don't.
One looks locked into 80 minutes and scores great. The other is unlikely to get 60+ minutes again without massive injury toll again and struggled to score decently even with 64 minutes.
Nanai is going to be a gun EDG, JKing isn't close to his talent.

Be good if I could give you J King and get Nanai instead and cost neither of us a trade

Looking like only trade this week will be Welch to Clifford/Sexton. Now to ponder over which it will ultimately be

I’d go sexton, think he will ultimately end up with more base points and more attacking stats
Clifford does him on kick metres
However if you have a soft spot for either one then maybe you go for that player instead

I dont have Tago, But I do have Crichton.
Its my biggest sweat, do I get Tago? even for the sake of hedging my bets cause it seems everyone else has him
Tell me what to do so I can have someone to blame. This is how it works right?

I have no attachment to either. Never owned them so have never been burned . Think I’ll go for Sextons ceiling, didn’t do a lot it seemed for his 45 so hopefully that is his floor

I have a trade spare to get Tago for Amone. Amone is one big game away from getting the cash going so will hope for that for now.

I say get him. That way when I'm right, you're pleased and like "omg SnatchPato you're so smart how come you keep coming 10,000th in fantasy" and when I'm wrong I'll be pleased because I didn't get him because he's so overrated from one game.sets wrote:I dont have Tago, But I do have Crichton.

A TU/TD if I may:
TU: Lolo + Fermor --> Haas + 330k playa (Coates, Leniu, Ramsey)
TD: Lolo + Fermor --> Yeo + Tago (+84k)
Yip, don't have Haas or Tago, and want to remedy. Happy to move Lolo and Fermor on and double trade

This TU/TD thing is pretty nifty for rep building:
TU: JKing
TD: Tuilagi

I think I may have done this TU/TD thing the wrong way around

Yeah. OK. I'll cop that.
I thunk I meant that if he keeps getting meh scores it will be annoying as hell.
Still considering the trade - Arrow doesn't fill me with too much confidence.
May just hold both trades and wait for someone I really want.

@Syzy my thoughts on Curran from earlier in the thread below. I’m tempted to upgrade Uto to Curran as I think he will gun it until Tohu returns. The only problem is that I have Wilton and he may also be a trade out by Rnd 8.
It looks like Curran is set for a big minute role in the middle, potentially reverting to an 80min second row spot when Tohu returns.
Last year without Tohu in the team Curran averaged 56 in matches where he played over 40 mins. In the majority of these matches he was named on the edge, however I am pretty sure he either switched to the middle for kick off or at least played a fair stint there. Curran's average with Tohu playing drops to 47 even though he still averages 71 minutes (there is one outlier where he only played 33 mins however still put up a score of 53).
From stats alone it looks like he will be a good pick-up until Tohu returns, however based on the eye test he is potentially a slightly undervalued keeper with dual status? I guess Yeo is cheaper with better pedigree, and it will be interesting to see if Gilbert can back up performance from round 1

Same issue for me, I really don’t need another centre as I have Bird, Aitken and Critta. I’m thinking Bird may be on the chopping block in a few weeks time, perhaps to free up Cleary funds.
Tago certainly passes the eye test and in that panthers team I think he will get a few big scorers. Im thinking he can hit Burton’s centre average from last year of 42
