We order our coffee from Botero. They're in Maclean, nice little town close to Yamba/Iluka. They do a good taster pack if you like to mix it up.

I tweaked the settings on the weekend after the coffee blow up, and it resulted in a stronger output on the current bean we are using. Win win !

Last year's version of the thread went OK. It was often a bit of a mental health check in for a few people.

We try and direct discussions here when it's the same thing going on for a three or four pages and some poor soul or two is asking for opinions on their team.

I have never heard them called brushcutters in Aus - always a whipper snipper. In NZ we always called them weed whackers.

I'm always happy for off topic stuff to be in the main thread.

Usually a whipper snipper but the one the dude next door was using is definitely a brush cutter....also just realised that it's actually the neighbor on the far side who has cracked first and is angrily slaying the thigh high grass on my next doors nature strip.

Also felt like jumping in on the racism row this arvo (I pulled WL up on his comment the other day) but have found with that once they get pulled up people either acknowledge something is racist and they said it out of ignorance or they dig their heels in and start with the old 'What about' arguments and it doesn't go anywhere.

Casual racism is still pretty rife unfortunately and a lot of people just don't want to either acknowledge it exists (just jokes mate) or change their approach.

I am happy it gets pulled up in the main thread though.

Whipper snippers are pissy little things that are a pain in the erase to use. Brush cutters are super powerful fuckers that’ll cut down small trees.
Speaking of I recently moved from a unit into a house and needed a whipper snipper. I cheated out and got an electric pos. It actually runs ok but they’ve designed it for a midget, my back was well cooked after hanging off it bent over for half an hour

FWIW as someone catching up on the thread from today, it's always heartening to see people call out casual racism.

When that shit gets let go, it just perpetuates a place for it in society (where it really has no place), so yeah, hats off to anyone/everyone who says nah, that's not us and it has no place here.

Same thing with my mum's electric lawn mower.....does a decent job but the handle is definitely set at midget height. My back was cooked afterwards. Maybe the electric garden tools demographic is of below average height?

Not much of a Union fan myself, but Dan Carter is kicking goals for 24 hours for charity. A few AB's in the mix as well floating around.
