EDIT: OR... Sticky knew the game was over and didn't want to take his chances injuring his 2nd string hooker in the last 20 minutes in a nothing game. Straws???

Plus game was in Townsville. Tough for any mid to play 80 with the heat and humidity

Well done @wolfking beat me by 4 points in one of the leagues we were in.

Updates were kind to me though up to 803 for the round and rank up to 5587.

I can go Bullemor/Mahoney out for Brailey/Yeo and still have 120k aside for the Cleary fund

Going Grant instead of Brailey only leaves me with 30k instead hmmm

You're hilarious. For starters I wasn't answering you, I was responding to someone else's fake question Very Happy

Secondly, players don't score exactly the same every week. Your explanation is that he was saving himself. How on earth could you possibly know that? Maybe he just got out of bed on the wrong side, or maybe he didn't eat his weetbix. Hard to say exactly why he scored less this week. I'd hazard a guess that not scoring a try this week probably had something to do with it. Lol

I'm not even saying he was a bad selection. Almost picked him myself, but I needed a HLF, so picked Mann which was pretty underwhelming also.

I can see the negatives for Starling but first round bye hooker seems almost enough reason to get him

Back to the good old days...

On this... I noted in my mates group chat that it's like the fantasy of old is back. I think we all got a bit used to the Haas's, Cleary's and Turbo's scoring 70's, 80's, and 90's too often to the point that anything sub 1000 was a shit score and we were all pumping out 1000's even 1100+ from round 1. Gone were the days that scoring over 1000 was a big deal.

It seems the fantasy of old has returned, when starting the season at around the 700-800 mark is the par and gradually upgrading your roster as the year goes on so just after Origin you can have a team that will hit the high 900 to low 1000's week in week out will get the job done.

    Based on?
Waiting until the 70th min to bring on their reserve hooker?
Using 2 subs to bring him off 20mins into the second half for a 10min break and back on for the last 10mins?

Curious what your thoughts are on this?

Oh mate tell me about it. My AFL season starts this weekend and being the ultimate ressie that I am our games are at 12:00pm midday. So the hottest part of the day and half the time we can't even get someone to run water for us.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the raiders go with a 4 man big pack that worked for them previously.
Having CHN and Whitehead can cover backs and they used to be tough having fresh big guys out there.
Will be interesting to see TLT given how badly they got smashed off the park against the cowboys

They got the win against the sharks too but the sharks dominated them up front in the second half when they ran out of gas and almost won too

Something weird happening with all the BEs. He was priced at something like 84 leading into the season.
