Haha, this was magnificent.
On Fifita, I would have no doubt at all that if someone broke down each player's salary and how often they touched the ball per dollar of their salary, Fifita would be at least double the next guy in terms of how little involvement he has per dollar he is worth.
And I should add that like others mentioned, it is not entirely his fault. It does seem to be a genuine game-plan for the Titans not to give him the ball. Whether it's a legit game-plan or not, I don't know, but it certainly comes across that way.
What really pissed me off is that they spent 78mins cutting him out of the majority of their plays and when the game is basically gone and they're in pure desperation, they throw the ball out to him across the width of the field, twice I think it was, hoping he can win the game for them... even though they just spent most the match avoiding him.
I don't know, the whole thing just frustrates me. He is lazy as fuck, but he's definitely not getting any assistance from his team.
I can't wait to see the end of him in my Fantasy team next week, but fucking cut that I missed out on any last chance to bring in Tago, or a chance at Starling at an okay price (whilst building a Cleary fund), to hold onto king spud 2022 one more week.
As others have noted, he's lost so much cash now that you basically need to trade him and an actual keeper out of your team to afford Cleary, if, like me, you have no bank at all.
What a fucking wretched four weeks of Fifita ownership. I'm saying never again and I hope I stick to it. From a Fantasy perspective, I really can't handle lazy players and he's as bad as, if not worse than Latrell at his worst.
