It would be a punt, it was last week too really. He might hold his spot though if he keeps it up, he played well. Should play rd13 too with Turbo origin. Not a lot of good cheap options. Hopefully we get something soon, my 18-21 sucks. Ilias, Thompson, Coates, Koula. Vomit. Cash generation stalled. Throw us a frickin bone here!

He definitely looks good of late. At very least, you'd have assume he is most likely to be the one to keep getting big mins.

Tyson Gamble training at five-eighth with Broncos today. Cory Paix/Billy Walters interchanging at hooker. Jake Turpin training with reserves squad.

    You're excited about Paix?

No not really, but Gamble to 6 and Turpin to cup is a move in the right direction.

Honestly, they're all fringe first graders/mostly career reserve graders. Turpin can tackle, but can't pass. Paix can pass ok, but can't tackle. Its not great.

TMM to fullback is a pretty bizarre choice. Not sure how our first choice (now that isaako is gone) fb replacement is a guy who hasn't playing nrl in 3+ years that is playing 6 in q cup. But whatever, I hope he goes well there. Its a nice story at least. Again, the options aren't really standing out.. but I would of thought if we are taking random punts then it would be Herbie to fb.. especially as we have decent ctr/wing cover.

He's getting the minutes and should be in his prime. Cowboys going better than expected. Plays the first bye. *Should* be a fairly safe pick. I think Payten mentioned something about amazing what you can do when you string more than a few games together, which was my reason for starting with him ie. Such a disjointed season last year with three broken hands, I was hoping (and still am) that that was the reason for the reduced scores last year rather than a reduced role or a perceived rift with the coach.

It's boring but it's looking like Taaffe for WFB3 for me. What did we think of his performance?

Add Edrick Lee to those 4 and that's my list of 17th man choices. Looking pretty dire early days waiting for these outside backs to score some tries

Yeah Gamble should bring some spice to the team. I thought Walters at 14 didn't look too bad.
TMM is a bit of an odd choice, but who knows right?

Nothing we didn't already know. His team dominated a bottom 4 side and he scored 36 including 6 goals, 1 try assist, 1 LBA and a try save. Will probably score a few tries in the next few weeks but going to be grim reading if Souths fail to put points on the board

I've got to bring in a $259k or less player to afford Cleary

    Edrick Lee front runner.

Jason Saab is dirt cheap if you want to punt on someone going on a run of tries
Naden and Royce Hunt other possibilities
Don't think I'll gp another week without Cleary so have to punt on someone

Way I see it is that he’ll probably score about the same as SCrichton, but net you 150k for the bank if you trade Crichton for him. He won’t set the world on fire, but it’s worthwhile if you need some funds to bring in another gun.

Latrell having knee surgery. Won't affect his return timeline from hamstring injury.

Burton/Wilton gets me Cleary/Lee with 18k to spare, but I’ll be begging for a better cheapie option, I don’t really want Lee and I already have too many Knights, Tass starting would be preferable I suppose, or I gamble on Martin but I’d rather not do that either

Yeah, I'd really like to have a punt on Walsh/Ponga/Teddy but I'd have to sell Nanai and play one of those potatoes in my 17.

Don't mind Saab as a cut price version of Coates. Probably better job security than Edrick Lee and Naden. Definitely more upside than Royce Hunt

For me it really just depends on how long you can afford to wait for this option to make some cash

I am doing similar, dropping Wilton and Crichton this week to bring Cleary in.

Lee is just out of my price range. Tass looked great and no one else has cemented that CTR spot. Hoping he gets it this week.

Alternatively if Rushton gets a shot this week, he would be straight in my team. Ricky seems pretty pissed off with the bench MIDs. When they come on the defence goes to shit.

I should probably hold trades but I do have Nanai, Sexton, and SCrichton hanging around.

5k short of Sexton and Crichton to Fifita and Taaffe. Not sure about the timing on that anyway. Was keen on Fifita two weeks ago, but now feels like chasing the points.

    Grand Angus is typically tempting
