Missed everything yesterday, what are people's thoughts on Ponga? Good value for still under 600k, or chasing points and already missed the boom game? Should be pretty close to doing Crichton to Ponga.

Its still very early days. Just try to bank a few trades and keep the cash gen going, ready to make some big moves later in the season

Ponga looked way better but the Knights have a few tough games coming up

Hmm, could Hastings run the team from lock?

Even though he's been abhorrent so far this season, Ofa seems to have a mortgage on the #13 jersey for reasons unexplained.

You said something like this about a dozen times last season too

If it’s just a vent, all good, but if you legitimately don’t enjoy it like your posts often indicate, I’d take a break. Or set some rules around it - invest 30 mins on TLT, double check late mail before deadline, and otherwise leave it. That way it’s fun and the wins and losses mean less.

My team has almost certainly been as shit or shitter than yours the last season and a bit. For me, there’s a challenge to getting better, small wins. If I felt like it appears you do, I’d just give it away for my own well-being..

Huge risk/reward to it - could be genius or mega frustrating.

Legitimately seems the only player capable of getting both single figure and triple figure scores multiple times in the same season

6 rounds into a 25 round season, mate! Still early days and we all now how much bye rounds can play a part in our seasons.
As a cricketer I always had the mentality where if the first ball of my over was shit, I just pretended it didn't happen, bowled the next ball like it was the start of a five ball over.

Couldn't do the same batting - was usually out first ball Embarassed

He was playing injured recently, dont think I can handle the frustration this season after having him last year in similar circumstances. Probably means he becomes this year's turbo.

Surely the flavour of the week isn't gonna be a winger averaging 10 above his career average off the back of 3 tries in 2 games

I remember a big one in junior footy being “it’s still 0-0!”. Good way to get kids to focus and stick to the plan when they’re ahead and want to just throw the ball around, behind and just want to throw the ball around, or it’s close and they want to just throw the ball around.

    Generally worked on me.

On reflection the writing was on the wall for my below average footy career the first time I responded by instead of thinking “yes it’s definitely still 0-0, just keep tackling and passing to who you’re supposed to pass to” with “nah man I want to scoot a bit and maybe put in a chip and chase I’ve been practising in the backyard a lot”.

    Laugh 3

This is probably bad fantasy advice though. I’m still not sure if im the conservative fantasy player that has it in him to not pick up Mcinnes. Like throwing rock, really. Good old Mcinnes, nothing beats that.
