Agree with the first premise iise but not the second. Mulitalo would be playing origin if eligible and the Sharks really have something this year, so I can see him being the big beneficiary of that. I think he was probably a good pickup this round, its just been overshadowed by the specific tradeouts which have made it sideways at best, and far more likely backwards.

Not enough cash in a 570k winger to be good value as a cow and there are 6 players I rate better chance at being a keeper (Turbo, Papy, Hynes, Teddy, Latrell, To'o) with some others in contention (Gutho, Ponga, Doueihi?, Walsh, Brimson if Titans come to their senses). To me it seems like choosing a poor option off a small sample size of good games just because they have low ownership

I find very little reason to justify holding Burton in my team.

Good points well made, plus burton to talakai is an easy trade too

You'll be fine. Randall staying about the same, Jones up about 20k. BSmith down a bit and Hastings up maybe 45k. I'd be sweating if I had 20k leeway but 60k is easily enough.

Burton is a total mindfuck hey lol.

Not wrong mate. I would've lucked out and avoided him at the start with that pricetag, but probably made some kneejerk trades to bring him in after Rd 1 if the 62 came that week. Feel like I own him anyway though being in the community team and voted to keep him last week..

After last year's janky magic number, you'd be expecting a 48+ average and top 2 CTR for the year. He managed 45 over the first 5 rounds and with the rising magic number, he was really priced more around 42 than 48. Now priced at and averaging 40. Might be a stubborn hold for me now that those jumping off a week or two ago have been rewarded regardless of who they picked up. Genius move for the Cleary purchasers in particular, no brainer in, but probably had 2-3 candidates to punt.

Schuster hasn't even played this year, what's he complaining about? Is his manager that Ayoub guy?

Nope, not an Ayoub guy according to his website.

Just watched this clip on YouTube, my first thought is don’t care how talented he is he’s not gonna make it as a top player, he’s played how many first grade games and he’s asking his mgmt to secure what position he plays and someone has informed a journo about it

Embarrassing and disrespectful to his team mates, extremely self centred I wouldn’t want him as a teammate

That said he’s young as duck and can pull his head in and mature, but it’s ludicrous

sounds like journo drama more than anything

"player manager, in doing the job that he is paid to do, maintains regular contact with club his player is contracted to"

depends who leaked the info i guess.

20 year old puts club on notice lol

I’m all for players chasing the best outcome possible for themselves, but this seems a tad premature

Although doubt agent put it like that

Can’t believe clubs make promises like that, if they do they probably deserve to lose him

Yeah I'd punt Nanai before King.. can't see holding him for Rd 13.

Not sure what to do with Burton. Will be around 556k after lockout, priced at his average just under 40. Don't mind holding him until Rd 13, but I remember you had an abundance of CTRs already and not keen on his involvement.

Wouldn't mind upgrading Mann to a proper gun too. I like his role, when he's not moved for injuries, but Knights going to shit lately hasn't helped. Could be a tough one vs. Storm this week, but had his best scores against Sharks and Panthers, so can't read too much into it.
As a Knights fan who was at the garbage they dished up - seeing Mann plugging holes 2 weeks running, I'm getting serious Black Widow vibes. He's Mr. Fix-it for the team, meaning he'll be shifted to centre / fullback / edge on a regular basis.
I got him hoping for 50ish ave, but am now looking to upgrade too.

Ah the two great pillars of enlightenment: Buddhism & Billy Slater

I recall when Billy expanded both mine and the judiciaries mind with the my shoulder charge tackle is not in fact a shoulder charge, it is just me bracing myself as I become one with the opposition.
Of course all charges had to be dropped and Billy would go on to play a Grand Final and allow his enlightenment to reach an audience of millions
