Yes, but it depends on the rest of your setup.Barry wrote:If EMG 5 doesn’t play does it take EMG 6? Thanks in advance

Hope he takes a page out of Paytens book and sticks to his guns
Talakai is a way better centre than Tracey and if you leave him there he will tear it up, of that I’ve no doubt
he's a better player, I'm not so sure he's a better centre, if he continues to find himself a step behind, or worse, as games go on, it may be in the sharks best interest to move him back to being an impact forward.

Put Wilton at 18 before the game , guess I have to play Ilias now. A trade next week already lined up.

Still not sure wether to burn two trades on Hastings and Tevaga. One should be plenty but can only get Hastings in a straight swap for Nanai.
Will then possibly have Wilton and Mann to go next week

If Tracey is on the bench and Talakai is gassed at 60 minutes, they can bring him on to finish the match. Hopefully Talakai is gradually getting match-fit from playing 80 each week.GarethEllisismyDad wrote:

He’s a chance but probably needs 2 tries, maybe 3, to get there.

No one could accuse Chanel Harris-Tavita of not giving his all for the NZ Warriors in their humiliating loss to the Melbourne Storm.
Harris-Tavita has had surgery for a ruptured testicle which may sideline him for a month.
The injury came in the 34th minute of the Warriors’ 70-10 capitulation to the Storm in their annual Anzac Day game on Monday.
Despite the painful injury, the Warriors half played the rest of the match.

Cap'n Ranta wrote:Being at the game I’ll add some perspective that maybe wasn’t there on TV:
Talakai was swarmed every time he got the ball starting from his 1st carry. He still had a few powerful runs but the majority were tough sledding especially coming out of their own end which has normally been a strength for the sharks back 5. He started seeking softer defence in Reynolds/walters to try and get on the front foot rather than aggressively taking what was in front of him.
With 20 mins to go he was completely out of gas. There was 1 play where he was 15m behind the play and the sharks would have had an easy overlap if he was still running. Other times the shape was awful and I had most of that as a function of looking at him and Kennedy ambling along.
This looked like a deliberate Broncos tactic. The vast majority of kicks were aimed deep into Mulitano’s corner. Talakai would take the first hit up - and the Broncos looked like they were ready for it and had 3/4 in the tackle to work him over and sap his energy.

Staggs was interviewed on ch9 after the game and he mentioned that they worked on targeting Talakai in defence.

Not rocket science is it really? Target the big lad defensively in space?
Same with Fifita last week
Short term and in fits, they will have their way in attack. Can guarantee you Fifita would have attacking games like Talakai did last week playing in the centres
Can also guarantee you they will be made to look stupid defending in the extra space the centre provides equally as much.

Not the worst option. I just didn't think he was much of a second rower. Didn't see last weeks game did he look good there? Looks like he's played 10 or so games at 2rf over his career but my concern would be he doesn't last in that role? Kerr, Fui, Gosi could all slot in instead

Just fishing around for ideas mate. I’m not overly sold on Tevaga which is the obvious MID to grab for Mann if I decide to trade him this weekBCT05 wrote:

Yeah must say I'm going a little bit colder on Jazz, looking back to the end of last year Sironen was preferred to him at lock which just gives me a bit of doubt. They have other options at edge if they did want to move Sironen into lock. But I'll probably take the risk.
What about Cheese?

He played really well last two weeks, really lead by example, made good tackles, and lots of hard runs,
No idea if that makes him fantasy relevant but he impressed me

Cheese is an even bigger punt i feel. His minutes last week were strange and felt like a consequence of the blow out. I just can’t pick him off the benchBCT05 wrote:

Are there any other rd13 mids worth looking at under Jazz's price?

For sure. Its a credit to the way the Broncos defended, which is in itself surprising, because they typically look pretty clueless, especially on the right edge.
Interesting how quickly things can change in a rugby league team when they find a little bit of confidence/belief.

Are people gonna sell Haas if he's out for a couple of weeks? Fairly simple trade to iPap or Cook (if you have strong mids) but worth it? Workload might be reduced if he plays as well.
