    Good post.

The run home post origin is when a couple of alternate PODs can actually make a big difference. Eg Ben Hunt is someone who's up and down and not ideal as a season long keeper, but you get him at the right time and he bangs out a bunch of 70s. They're the late season risks (sometimes forced due to cash) that pay off huge.

People get caught up trying to pick "PODs" at the start of the season, its a stupid strategy.

Wish someone had told me that before I picked him in Round 1 and held him this long hahaha

Very tempted by Burton for his ceiling but wonder if the more conservative approach of Angus or Tohu is the better decision for my stress levels lol

Angus>Burton>Tohu. Not sure why Tohu so popular as reckon all 3 comfy 50-60 just playing 80 but Angus and Burton waaay more upside with attacking play chances

Is everyone just holding off because they are trying to time the bottom and pick him up cheaper, or has he already burned too many people this season? Im thinking points>cash from here on out, and I might take a hit to the team value and bring him in this week.

Definitely points > cash in the case of Taumalolo

In gaming terms, if your fantasy team is an engine builder, its time to move from building your engine (generating cash) and move to using your engine (scoring points)

Hmm good to know, I haven't seen the last two Manly games. He was on track to play 80mins in his first game back this season before getting injured (played 69mins) and then looks like he is being eased back in and will be building fitness. Presumably will be playing 80 in the halves this week.
Schuster looks unfit, he'll play 80 in the halves, and promptly avoid the hard work

Yeah Burton is pretty tempting, but just can't put the C on someone who has a floor of 23 this year.

Probably gonna go Angus for the higher ceiling than Tohu.

Is there any solid source for this Avo news? Just catching up.

Is it worth going Taaffe to Avo with my 4th trade, or am I just shifting one spud fullback to another?

Already locked in 3 trades to have 12 playing this week.

Would anyone go SCrit to Walsh with the 4th? Feels sideways if not backwards, but I'm fairly tempted.

Debating with someone on Discord who thinks Ilias is a hold because plays 17. I argue that if upgrading him to a 50pt avg player hypothetically that you can use to bump a 35pt avg player in your 17 means 60pts next 4 weeks means you're better off going without a low scoring Rd 17 player say Ilias gets 35pts

    (4 * 50 = 200 vs 5 * 35 = 185 net gain 15pts with 1 player less in Rd 17)

Do you want to gamble on Avo holding the no.1 spot?
Do you want to gamble on the Dog's attack?
Avo is more of a Taaffe style FB than a metre machine. What are you hoping his base will be?

Not sure about Burton comfy 50-60, many scores lower than 50 this year including some 30s, floor is too low for me. It could certainly pay off if he nabs a try for those willing to take the risk.

Angus and Tohu is just about a coin flip.

    Scrit DNP Knights Warriors

    vs

    Walsh Manly Sharks Panthers

Scrit could possibly outscore Walsh in those 2 games

I think in Ilias's case you could make a case for holding him. Has an OK draw through to round 18, and there's a chance he can get 40+ average for the origin period.
But you wouldn't hold him solely because he plays 17

Depends who the trade in is, and what other options you have to trade out to get him

Well part of the argument was only 209k to make him Tohu
