I've legit got you in my mind as one of the funnier/open posters on the forum. Cant fathom how its a personal dig, but i'll take note if that's how you take my posts.

If it makes you feel better I have gone balls to the wall and I am down to 9 left after 4 this week, with the plan of not using any more (injury aside) until round 17.

Just like all other years this will probably turn to custard, but was the only way I could see making significant rank changes.  Just got to hope for some luck now.

You 12/11 after trades looks much better than my 9 haha

Yeah but I have 3 pencilled in for R14/15 already, so will be evens between us pretty soon.

My plan involves getting through R17 with 3-4 left, but that is the scenario where literally no injuries requiring surprise trades happen.

So yeah, I'm probably running out at R17, playing short R18, and using those 4 extra ASAP

Cheers, that's how I'm looking at it. Think it's a hold for me.

But for the record, no matter what happens from here the #1 trade I wish I hasn't wasted will be Trent Peoples. Fuck that guy.
Yep lesson learned there. Though in my defence I didn't realise he wasn't top 30 for Souths, though he was just as fringe guy. Not in my defence though, I should have done the homework.

This is where the game fails, if this happens u should get someone, anyone as captain. Like last week's captain, auto or the 4th highest scorer this week. Something.

Why limit it to captain and vice-captain?

    We should set a captain, a vice-captain, a vice-vice-captain, a vice-vice-vice-captain, a 5th-choice-starting-to-get-desperate-captain, a sorry-I-really-dropped-the-ball-please-give-me-a-score-captain, a scraping-the-bottom-of-the-barrel-captain, a please-its-the-bye-rounds-and-I-only-have-8-active-players-captain, and a fuck-it-just-double-Edrick-Lee's-negative-score-captain

Would that be enough for you.

Not sure either of them are great options, but:

Price: Savage cheaper. One point to him.

Break Even: Similar. Half a point each.

Job security: Both probably have to kill it to keep their position after a month vs CNK/Rapana or Dufty/Allan. Who's more likely to? I'd say Savage, but marginal. Half a point each.

Scoring potential: More attacking stats on offer for the Raiders than the Bulldogs. Point to Savage imo.

Positional utility: Depends on team makeup but HLF/CTR probably more useful than WFB. Averillo +1

Savage 3, Averillo 2 (4-1 if you need a WFB)

But how many Aubussons are they worth?

You should be able to change captains mid round if you dont like your captains score.

I already knew the lesson and ignored it.

Switched from Kiraz 20 mins before kickoff because he was on the wing.

That makes it tough then. You're banking on whichever one you pick keeping a secure role. Avo probably a better chance of that.

You could keep him and wait on Kennedy.

    Yeah looking at Ramsey too.

Even if he gets moved back to wing, his trash scores there match Vaileas trash scores.

Maybe you can hit a random captain button at any time before the round ends so if you don't like your captains score you have one chance to get someone else but it is a randomly chosen member of your 21

It should be accompanied by a big spinning wheel animation, lots of lights...and fireworks, we need fireworks

Be more diligent @Chewie, ffs. Use the force or something, ok ??

I only have myself to blame, not the system. I miscalculated one of the last minute trades and had to do a rollback. This was around 7:45 last night. I hastily tried to make the proper trades, got them done, but by the time I got back to the main page Captain and Vice Captain had just locked out ...players followed about a minute after.

Luke or Obi-wan would have probably been able to use their Jedi mind tricks to fix it. "This is not the captain you're looking for..."
I just don't have those kind of powers...
