I think you're being too hard on yourself bro because many also got on the Talakai train. At the time it was probably to correct move & it's easy in hindsight to get down on yourself.

I’m hoping with a rookie forward and a back on the bench he can surely find more minutes

I poo-pooed Talakai in about rd 4 or 5 because pure centres averaging over 50 are a rarity and only likely with GK which Talakai doens't have or big tackle busters which has been nerfed.

I was wrong about his cash making potential. Would have been a good pick up.

After his banner, I poo-pooed Talakai, likening him to my rookie year of 2016 when I overpaid for Ryan James who was on a hot streak. I was right that time.

I can't think of a single time in fantasy history that trading in a player after a banner worked out well

Maybe Cleary or Turbo were still reasonable value after early banner last year?
