Do I grab a R13 option in Mahoney/Brailey or wait for after Origin and get Grant/Cook?

Choosing a hooker to replace Clark in the coming weeks will be tough.

White Lightning wrote:Anyone thinking of buying W. Kennedy please don't...averaging 20, highest score 40, 2nd highest score 30 & 2 rounds he has scored negative scores which in itself must be a record but not in a good way. He was quite good last year because he was 1 of the main playmakers in the team but this year the arrival of Hynes he's not that involved in the points.
He'll be a perfect 220K cashout come round 17. Bonus couple of points that week and good job security. You're only getting him as a cashout and only looking to play him in round 17. Emergency cover if need be.

Personally I am happier if TLT doesn't force me to trade players out.
Despite the number of trade options floated I think LB is a closet hoarder and has a few more up his sleeve than most. Probs needs to make a move soon so he can run out with the rest of us and wobble over the finish line.

It would be boring without floating the odd trade idea, and yes a closet hoarder haha

Thats awesome. The only guys I am interested in this round, don't play 17 and looking to trade out Hastings this week to get them in.
Likely only have 5 in round 17.
Which option would you do? didn't realise 10 players is good enough, thinking about the To'o one

Yeah LB forum banter = max traded every week
LB reality = has more trades left than almost everyone here

Your patience is refreshing (and rare) round these parts. I mean, you still have Erin Clark! Looking over his scores he’s been quite serviceable (for his price), and probably has been worth holding. But most shipped him on ages ago to get the next shiny toy.
I got Mahoney instead, so I got the same scores as Clark but for only $300k more

Have to wait for Milch to do the sums, but guessing the MN was sub 13,000 this week for maybe the first time?

Also known around the LB household as ‘The Little Engine That Could’ .
Haha I’m a very patient person so I like that to be reflected in my trades remaining, I mean as far as strategies go I’m not sure it’s the best but it suits me

weirdly enough, i'm hoping Sticky decides to drop Savage, need about 20k to turn Pangai into Papy and between Elliot, RFM, Koula, Savage, RFM, Kiraz & Mam, I can't find it without sacrificing a huge long term gain unless one of them is a red dot this week and the above scenario seems the most likely path to that.

also do we think Freddy keeps Hynes in the origin bubble? I'm looking at Trindall at 222k and thinking that if so, i could do worse than to use him as cash out, throw him at 21 for rest of the year and bank whatever points he dishes up playing in the halves round 17.

I don't want Mahoney and definitely not Brailey long term so won't bother with R17 hooker at this stage

We thinking Papy goes straight back into Blues camp and isn't available RD 17? Or do we think we might get lucky with an extra RD 17 gun available?

Yup, exactly this. Historical average of 32.3 at FB playing 70+ mins, rock solid JS, likely to be base price, and plays R17. You'll struggle to find a better cashout that you can stow away at 20-21 and give you a 25 in an emergency if needed.
