I could do Davey>Barnett. If Davey scores 40 Barnett needs to score 60 to make same profit. Trying to squeeze as much from Davey in EMG

Think I might actually do Luki to Barnett and pocket the extra 141k in cash, which, along with the extra games he plays over Carrigan, could be the smarter call here. Would give me more money when I come to decide on my second gun half too

Is Barnett actually one of the prime pickups of the week or is it just the fantasy echo chamber in full swing again?

I don't get the appeal tbh. Average in the second row for 70+ minutes is 49, so decent for the price but below keeper level. Not sure he's worth two trades just for R17.

13 (+4) trades left, trading Taaffe out who will lose cash so can't really wait a week.

    Volkman is:

TU: Worth a punt to free up max cash, worst case he's not any worse than Taaffe
    TD: Trap, find someone else

He's a good option but definitely not without risk.
I think it's a matter of trying to find value in lower priced players for those of us who can't afford Ipap/Cook etc without destroying our team balance.

If he stays second row for the rest of the year he would have been a great trade this week.
If he gets sent off and misses another six weeks then I will feel silly.

Using a loop with Russell if Mam doesn't play good against Storms. Kiraz/Savage I think Kiraz might get a try against Tigers

I had him as a prime pickup independently

The echo chamber is a double-edged sword e.g. Robson seems like a NRLFF exclusive, but then other times it might fail by missing someone popular with other groups.

So 4pts less than Angus with same criteria for 2022. Is Angus a sell?

Pretty sure I've had a few succesful pickups that was warned off. Elliot, Robson, Sexton. That said warned off some spud moves and still did them

All fair points. I think he's one that wouldn't hurt a couple of extra dollars to wait a week on personally.

Joe Ofa is a prime example of your second point. Just 1.7% ownership, but has been super consistent this year with just 2 scores below 40 and a 50+ average.

Probably don't want him anymore, but would have been a fantastic pick-up in the early rounds when he was still under 500k. His role changed - moved around between lock/prop/second row/interchange last year vs starting every game at lock this year - and his minutes changed - averaged 49 mins the last two years vs 61.5 this year. However, no one really noticed because he was never a popular pick. Klem probably in a similar boat.

I mean, 4 points is pretty significant when you're trying to sort out who's a keeper and who's a rung below.

Prefer to look at all-time average for these sort of things anyway. Too easy to get swayed by form variances/small sample sizes otherwise. Angus' all-time average in the second row for 70+ minutes is 58.1 + better JS.

I don't think Barnett is a terrible trade to be clear, I can certainly see the upside & good luck to those who jump on. Just not worth two trades for me.

I would think those trading him in would be banking on him kicking on and keeping for the year.

Great news re Haas & Keary this means I don't have to trade. Just on Haas why would he need to rest when the medical staff have said he can play. Haas loves playing every game like all sportsmen, he's proven in the past he's a quick healer & nothing will stop him from playing even if he they have to needle him up. My attitude is if Haas wants to play & is cleared to play then play.
