Didn't realise Yileen Gordon is still running around - playing off the bench for Souths in NSW cup.

Nope. But would appear Shaq Mitchell playing NRL. Taafe is playing nsw cup
Yep Kennar pulled out of Cup too hope he’s 18th man and AJ plays.
I’m at work I’ll be home around 11pm I’ll check the score at work and watch a bit on a break later. I’ll watch replay when I get home win or lose.
Still torn on whether to do M. King to Frizell…..
No idea how Souths go tonight it’s a lottery with all the guys we have out similar to Brisbane this week! Any win tonight would be a tremendous win.

Papy vs Latrell. This was one decision i struggled with all week. When Hynes was ruled out it swayed me to Papy. I thought Sharks would struggle without him. I underestimated how bad Storm are without Munster and Grant. Looking forward to watching Latrell carve up tonight

Yep. Pretty sure this rule was enforced in the NRL earlier in the year? You can't dive on the ball, you have to make an effort to pick it up off the ground.
Weird rule but that's what it is at the moment in the NRL.
This is correct, I've seen it enforced twice this year. If there is no DH the marker can pick it up, but not dive on it.
If the marker is square, and waits for the dummy half to touch the ball, and the dummy half passes off the ground it's impossible for the marker to cause any problem for the DH. Certainly helps also if the guy playing the ball gets in the face of the marker. I do hate it when occasionally the DH takes a step and the marker hits their arm and the ref blows a penalty (presumably for being not square), but if the DH takes half a step, they are fair game.

Can see south’s struggling without cook and Murray, though I hope not as a fellow Mitchell owner

I know he was good last week, but asking him to score 6 tries is a bit much

Diving at the ball on the deck though? Didn't think you could
tackle ruck receiver soon as he gets hands on the ball if they start square at marker yes?
Never mind though, boys need to be more streetwise, need a longer heel on the play the ball and need to walk through the marker.
Still beat last years champs though and boys only played handful of league matches, still learning the ropes
Yeah if first marker is square and gets to the hooker before he passes, he's allowed to tackle or dive at the pass, though that one is kinda counter-productive.
I assume your HK wasn't dicking around after it happened the first couple of times, so the dude probably wasn't square every time.

Points or tries?

Not exactly brimming with confidence after placing the 'C' on Mitchell

We have a big squad so we rotate our hookers, 2 union scrum halves and our hooker. So the 9s should be better at getting the ball away. Just wasn’t the best night I don’t think, not league savvy enough, joker picking the ball up under the play the balls feet almost. Got to have a longer player the ball at the heel.
Structure looks red hot for boys playing 5th game mind, just got slowed down at the ruck too often but I’m sure they will learn. Win last night means we are qualified for playoffs already

If the DH is picking it up straight away and passing promptly but still getting sacked, it sounds like markers not square.
