Here's my lot with 0+4 trades and 117k ITB

    Cook
    Harris, McInnes, Lolo
    Angus, Barnett
    Cleary, DCE
    Burton, Aitken
    Papy, Hynes, Walsh

    Robson, Hughes, Carrigan, RFM
    Mam, Kennedy, Ramsay, Trindall

Lack of a decent 17th man got me worried, so hoping for a bit of luck where I can use one of the 4 trades at round 20 to upgrade

I've got 620k to spend. I can go Mam+cheese -> DCE+grant but that doesn't leave a lot in the kitty but probably gives me my strongest 17 this week. Other options are to play for value a bit and do something like just picking up DiFi and Grant this week and then Haas next but means I probably don't get DCE.

Anyone got any thoughts? 3+4 trades remaining.

I’m weighing up a very similar scenario and interested in thoughts from the legends around here. I tend to be too conservative but I am trying to learn to get the best team as quickly as possible.
    My minus 10c worth:

1: Suggest thinking that you have a straight 7 trades left. That’s the reality. I realised me thinking changed from thinking 3 +4. Weird, I know.

2: With option 1 you have a weak #17 remaining and will likely try to pick each week. My record at that sucks.

3: ignoring future trades, you’re weighing up DCE and FBrown vs DFifi + Haas. At beginning of year I’d say this was easy (option 2) but now less sure this is right.

4: I think DCE a better fit for your team. Can put Hynes back to WFB.

I’d lean to DCE / Grant. But I’m a bit cold on Haas and DFifi.

My team is a mess. That's all I've got for today.

I like your #1 point (hopefully I'm understanding you correctly).

I can't believe the number of people with what is effectively 8/9/10 or even higher trades left.

The forced withholding of 4 trades was likely designed to keep trade whores and/or crap players like me more interested until the end. But it appears to have unwittingly meant very good players aren't pulling the trigger enough because they have not factored the "+4" into their calculations soon enough

It feels like in the past having more than 6 trades left from R18 for overall players was average, maybe slightly above, and now people are looking at having 4-6 + 4 as standard. Doesn't seem right to me, unless you've absolutely nailed your selections early. Doesn't seem right to me to be worrying too much about running out of trades this week when 4 more are coming in 2.

    Somehow I have a Doordash voucher. Don't get them when I'm well inside the top 1000 but get one when I'm miles off. Here it is, who wants it;

    DASHNVMMKS

    Fight over it, you vultures!

Is it silly to trade out S.Crichton?

Was going to go Mam to Mataumua

    Then I can go S.Crichton to Munster (17k left) /Grant (88k)/Dfiifta (154K)

    This is the team after

    Cook
    Harris Haas M.King
    Angus Ipap
    Cleary DCE
    Burton Tago
    Hynes Pappy Edwards

    Mahoney (HOK)
    Elliott (MID/EDGE)
    Koula (CTR/WFB)
    Munster/Grant/Fififita

    Palasia

Good to hear, if Maroons win (booroons) at least I can be happy knowing you're going to be out on the beers for hours while I sleep. Good stuff.
