Everyone knows you start fights defending not attacking, and when you’re not on top of the game.

Wonder what the penalty would’ve been if that all happened in clubland? Luckily nobody called anyone a cheat

Wouldn't have been a try anyway

I felt sorry for Talakai he seems like a confidence player so I hope he gets over this & moves on
I was so happy for Hunt when he scored the intercepted match winning try because for years he's been dogged for the dropped ball in the grand final which ultimately led to the Cowboys win...now he'll be known as the Q'land legend who won the 2022 SOO series.
    S. Crichton had a brain snap I just don't know what he was thinking with that pass but in a way karma got him for being so arrogant.
Overall Q'land won the series because they handled the pressure much better & won the big moments. In games 1 & 3 NSW were forced into errors at crucial times due to the pressure applied which they couldn't handle.

Full disclosure I am a NSW supporter.

I feel sorry for Talakai but it is on Freddie for picking him. Just feels like he picked him after a couple of barnstorming performances but Origin is much different than coming up against Morgan Harper

I posted it last night, but is Hunt the new Gagai?

Won the players' player medal for QLD in 2019 and 2021, and was obviously excellent last night.

Gagai probably isn't quite the right comparison as Hunt is very good at NRL level too, but he just goes to another level for Origin - all while rarely getting to play in his best position.

Maybe Freddy missed picking Talakai in his fantasy team so thought he'd trade in the real thing. Same fucking result.

Yup, there's probably an argument that Morgan Harper was Queensland's MVP this series.

Just checked and didn't realise Harper was a Kiwi - all part of our nefarious long-game to bring Origin down from the inside. Wink

When Talakai came on I thought this is such a bad time. I don't think he's right for this the way game was going

Here is my team with 89k itb and 6 trades spare. Was looking to cash out Penisini to a red dot looper but now with Covid really picking up I’m thinking maybe I just need as many green dots as possible plus lots of injuries around too and forget a looper. Thoughts on this? I can do Penisini to a green dot should I get Pole, Booth or Palasia? Another option is Matamua 220k edge and Tigers are looking to their future and have massive wraps on him I could get him which allows more cash for upgrades. Then I want to look at getting DCE in and potentially Captain him this week who should go for DCE? I’m thinking Taylan May with my back 3 and centres all set thoughts on May to DCE? Or is there a better way I can get DCE?

Upcoming plans are to get Murray, Grant in via cashing out Mam to another cheapie in the next 1-2 weeks! Current rank 638.

    Current team...

    Mahoney
    McInnes Tohu Lolo
    Ipap Angus
    Cleary Moses
    Aitken Burton
    Teddy Pap Hynes

    Elliot M. King May RFM
    Koula Mam Penisini Kennedy

    Help please and thanks!

Happy to be corrected, Cook & Korisau weren't ever on the field at the same time in the series.? Hunt is able to fill various roles.

Hunt has to do pretty much everything at the Dragons, whereas Qld have other players to do stuff like DCE and Ponga so he can just do what he’s best at.

He needs to play halfback for the Dragons, but he might be a better hooker IMO

Any news on Grant? May need to switch Matamua to Booth for the cover.

When is Matterson back? Thinking of using the last of my trades to trade out MMolo, Penisini and Matterson to maybe Booth(or another cheapie), Murray and Klemmer.

My current team with 3+4 trades left and $156k in the bank (orange is not playing this week):

    Cook
    Angus Yeo MKing
    iPap Matterson
    Cleary DCE
    Burton Bird
    Hynes Pap Teddy

    Robson RFM Mam Penisini
    Koula MMolo Volkman Rushton

A hot take, especially as the only thing I’ve read about this is the couple of posts here… but this Benji thing might work out

Ciraldo is well credentialed but is waiting for the “good” job… that may never come - seriously he’s can’t miss because he won’t take his shot. Even then, a lot of highly regarded lower grade and assistant coaches in the NRL fail.

So with little other options why not get the guy who actually wants to be there, understands the club/culture, and give him a couple of years mentoring under Sheens. Then Benji takes over in 2025, Sheens retires or lurks in the background like Phil Gould did over Cleary at Panthers initially, and everyone lives happily ever after as the Tigers win the comp in 2029 and provide NSW with 7 Origin players (the coach is Robbie Farah).
