You wouldn't just get Teddy in for Papy? That's what I'm currently doing (though I have the money to potentially trade Ramsey for Doueihi next week anyway, and I think Ted's about to pop off against the Knights)

Doohickey has a higher average playing in the halfs than Ted does at fullback.

Sample isn't huge (15 games) but no multiple try games and a 62 average

For almost 200k less I can't look past that. Plus allows Friz - Haas and lets me sit on 100k bank and 4 trades.

Think I'll do this with last 3 trades

    Edrick, Mam, Frizell OUT
    Ponga, Hastings, Doueihi IN

    Leaves this squad

    Grant
    Haas Crichton McInnes
    Tohu Ipap
    Cleary Hughes
    Bird penisini
    Hynes to’o Latrell

    Burton, Robson, Hastings, Doueihi
    Ponga, Walsh, Kennedy, Keppie

    Robson covers hooker
Tohu/Ipap cover MID via Bird and Keppie
Bird covers EDG via Burton and Keppie
    Hastings, Doueihi, Hynes cover HLF
    Burton covers CTR
    Everyone covers WFB

Feels a little light on forwards but Hastings, Doueihi and Ponga look by far the best options in their price range

Team after trades looks something like this

    Papy to Doueihi
    Walsh to Haas
    Lee to Fifita
    Billy to Booth

    Grant
    Ipap, Haas, McInnes
    Fifita, Harris
    Cleary, DCE
    Burton, Bird
    Hynes, Doueihi, Ponga

    Moses, Barnett, Lolo, Hughes
    RFM, Booth, Matamua, Trindall

Trades all gone and bank pretty well dry.

Interested in Hastings again haha so could skip Fifita if Tigers are named the same way again.
Put some money away for when the 4 trades come along

Convinced me on douehi, plus that sweet spare cash can upgrade elsewhere

Pretty keen on getting Ponga in next week if he goes OK this week. $500k is crazy for a 17/18th man who can tonne up.

Doesn't need to get near his 62 average, 52-55 and he's around Teddy anyway for 200k less

Not saying history will repeat but sometimes it rhymes.

When Doueihi moved to five-eighth in the second half of last year he averaged 74 over five games between rounds 18 and 22.

In Round 23 he tore his ACL after scoring 31 points in 70mins.
It was the second time he'd torn the ACL in that knee.

DISCLAIMER: I am 100% trading him in if he's named in the halves again.

Yeah definitely and I’m a big fan of having halves who are playing out of position in fantasy, Hynes, burton, manu (last two weeks), etc

    Bringing him in

Seems comfortably the best value in his price range

With Tupouniua out does Butcher become relevant again?

Nah, Mitchell looked next level last night.  I get 2021 Turbo vibes from him.
This is what worries me about Latrell this year - turning down Game 3 in favour of dedicating himself to Souths, clearly he's fitter than he's been for a while and seems to have matured.
What he can do is scary and if he goes on a tear, Turbo-like, not getting him is a season killer.
I'm down to my last trade - yes, shameful trade whore that I am - and Pappy out with a season ending injury means he goes for someone.
My weakest position is centre - I had planned on (finally) picking up Aitken to partner Burton, with Koula NPR cover.
But, Mitchell is probably as cheap as he'll get this year and his ceiling is pretty high.
    Thoughts?
I already have Teddy, Hynes & To'o as WFB.

Joey Manu didn’t train today & had ice strapped to his calf after coming off with an injury in Round 18. In some doubt for this week’s game, but likely minor issue (hopefully more cramping/tightness than strain). Via NRLphysio

    Crap.

Hopefully he didn't train just to throw off the whole faking thing during the game haha.

Now you've convinced me to get Mitchell instead of Teddy, and then go Ramsey to Doueihi next week (I only have one trade so can't get two of them this week, otherwise I would)

I saw a replay of it tonight and you could actually see when he put in the grubber he fell to the ground clutching at his calf then came straight off so I think the faking thing can be put to bed tbh but hopefully he plays this weekend

Yeah I saw it too.  He definitely felt something also before he took off for the play too.  Fingers crossed.

Faking it or not he still took advantage of players stopping to make sure he was OK given he looked like he couldn't go on.

Possibly unpopular opinion: Should be treated the same as obstruction.

Don't let me convince you Beth, I'm still outside the top 1000 and Latrell could decide to be lazy and get 35.
Or, he could go thug-ball and get suspended for 4 weeks.
It's all a big gamble by this stage of the season.

He should have stopped and let them tackle him.
    Grub move in my opinion.
