Not a good a shout as (C)heezburgs, but still.
That's definitely a shout, what type of shout it is I'm not sure.
I think the addition of a bun and an angus beef pattie and perhaps a delicious sauce might elevate it

'Oh yeah, Bunglicker is a top bloke and I learned heaps off him when he was here.'
As if they are going to say 'Bunglicker? he was an obnoxious and volatile character who could have started a fight in an empty lift, trained like an invalid and his personal hygiene was comparable to an African wild dog. I'm glad I don't have to deal with the shunt anymore.'
Its like coaches talking up their players in pre-season.
Can you imagine a coach saying "Bunglicker is pretty rubbish. We only signed him because he's what we could afford. If he gets any where near our 17 it means we're in big trouble"

I think he does. Only reason he comes off 10-12mins early is if we are flogging them. But every point for our differential is so important. Personally I have the C on Cook what my gut says. Cook has 70, 101, 103, 48 and 86 last 5 scores against Warriors. I realise Hynes is the safe choice and could get 90 against the Dragons but after losing 230 ranks last week I wanna do a pod Captain move. Murray could get a try this week too and get 80-85 in 70mins. Go with your gut I say. Munster could also be a good pod captain this week.mrbrownstone wrote:
Reckon Murray plays big minutes even if they're up by a lot this week? Considering captaining him.
In other Souths news NSW Cup player Izaak Thompson is set to debut for us in the backs this weekend. He’s very fast and has scored lots of tries in reserve grade. His defence is a bit iffy I’ve heard but surely can’t be worse than Milne! Campbell could be back next week though and if not the week after!

Yeah, it probably doesn't add a lot, but at the same time, it couldn't hurt. If the Storm rack up a score an extra 6-8 points in GK certainly wouldn't go astray.
Aardvark wrote:
It's definitely a cherry, just not a very big one (and maybe one to bring him in but certainly not captaining him for).
He could definitely carve up around the ruck against the Titans which is more of an incentive
A lot of this is on the proviso of the Storm playing well and them racking up a huge score, but have you seen them play lately?? They'd need to have sorted a bunch of their crap to do so as looking super disjointed at the moment with all their outs[/quote]

Go with where you need cover the most is my advice.kriegervondi wrote:1 trade left. Do I get Haas or Munster?
My other advice is don’t trade green dots unless you have 4 trades or more left.

Same kind of conundrum for me mate, so others may shed more light from a different set of eyes. I think 3 positions without cover is risky and yes, I've thought about doing it.
Gamblers choice, not having cover with 5 games to go and its possible players getting a rest pre finals is a move but as Wayne Gretzky says “You miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take.”

I have seen the Storm play and' while I am trading in Munster it is on the basis that I need a half and he seems to be in pretty good 'dancing around with the ball slapping away tackles and creating line breaks' form this season.
It is definitely not on the basis that the Storm are playing well as a unit. TBH I hope the Titans manage to get Fifita some decent ball so he can have a good run at whatever edge he lines up on this week

Originally was leaning Munster due to losing both Cleary/Moses so needed a HLF
But I now have extra red dots with Klemmer and Kennedy both out. So having 'depth' doesn't matter because if one of my starters go down, there will be no EMG lol
So thinking it doesn't matter which one I get now, position wise, just who would score the best?
With where their teams are on the ladder I don't think either will get rested, but if they do then Murray would be more prone. Murray for consistency but Munster for the attacking upside?
I think Murray will avg higher but you can call me bias if you like!

Yeah Murray seems safe. If I get Murray then I have no HLF cover but I have 4 red dots anyway so it doesn’t really matter haha

Silly to pick Haas over Cook for my second last trade and leave 350k itb for my final trade? Seems a lot to keep in the war chest for 3 odd weeks but Haas could be a must have without Carrigan. Cover not really a factor, but I do already have Grant and Robson and only Angus as MID cover.
Would just go Cook
Wouldn’t want to leave that much in the bank for final trade because e.g Hynes gets injured and he’s most expensive player, you don’t need funds to upgrade (max 100-150k probably worthwhile)

Is that to do with Tass dropped rumour I've been seeing?
Tass will be playing unless injured which he isn’t. He’s currently our second best centre in the club behind Campbell. They have big wraps on Karapani but he’s out has been for a while due to a blood infection. Tass has been reasonable in attack busy with tough carries and pretty solid defensively forming a good combo with AJ on the left.
Milne last couple of weeks has played second row in reserve grade the club thinks his future is a role in the forwards from what I’ve heard. Milne is too slow for the backs now and concrete boots like in defence. I would say Thompson is coming in for Milne.

Klemmer-gate: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/the-klemmer-fiasco-shows-what-a-mess-knights-have-become-20220803-p5b6zx.html
SMH article today says it's not AOB, he wanted him to play. Appears to be a dead coach walking.
Players also backing Klemmer.
Not clear where the decision comes from then, I would someone in the board/administration space, given it seems like they tried to ship Klemmer to Eels without him wanting to go.
But it's one of those articles that hints about things, then kinda walks back on them - probably because nobody will go on record, and to avoid defamation.

I’m doing Cleary to Murray and Moses to Munster haven’t wavered all week. Gut has said put the C on Cook as well so I guess I should roll with it.
I’ll have 1 trade and 243k spare and
Cook
Lolo Murray McInnes
Ipap Fifita
DCE Munster
Burton Aitken
Teddy Hynes Latrell
Tohu Elliot Angus Booth
RFM Mbye Kennedy Matamua
No halves cover in my 14-21 but I’m willing to risk it lots would be in a similar scenario!

Off douehi as captain - back to Hynes, apparently this young dykes guy is a fb by trade so don’t expect them to shift Hynes

A couple of other clubs have been chasing Dykes. He probably needs to put in a good showing first up. It's old boys day and I wouldn't expect fitzy to ruin a special occasion with his father Adam.

I ended up getting Munster as I had no halves cover.
Currently have exactly 17 healthy players until RFM is back so hopefully no more injuries or suspensions.

Is there a need to hold that much cash? What can you afford by trading out RFM instead of Moses? Off chance he makes an early return
