Garner and Hosking will be an interesting 2rf combo - rangey, hard lines, fair good at scramble. Throw Martin in their too.

my tv broke wrote:As this thread is a ghost train, I'm going to derail it:

Got a trip booked for October. Trip starts with four nights in Barcelona (second visit here), and ends with four nights in Lisbon. I have 9 nights in between that I'm not (yet) sure how to fill, but a couple of them will be in London to catch up with a friend.

Anyone got any locals only tips/suggestions in that area of the world for the other 5 or 6 nights ? Hoping to get a little away from the very tourist centric spots.

Without any solid plan I am open to just completely winging it.

If you're a fan of food, then go to San Sebastian. Amazing place, can give you specific recs if you do go there. Bilbao nearby is also good to visit.

If you're in London in October, you might be able to catch a RL World Cup game...

I reckon just call the lockout over now and I'll pocket the extra 124k I've gained. That'll do me Very Happy

The only London game is one of the semis.

Most of the places where the games are I wouldn't bother going to, even for a footy game.

$1.80 odds on "To apologise for the delay in opening lockout, we've teamed up with DoorDash to give everyone four extra trades!"

main bit of advice would be to stick to one region with only a week to play with. I agree the Basque region is cool - you could start in Bilbao and check out San Sebastian, Biarritz, or Bayonne, end up at Bordeaux for a quick flight to London and then down to Lisbon.  Or push a bit further north and go to La Rochelle. Or head north from Barcelona and check out Perpignan, Carcassone, Avignon, or Aix-en-Provence, before flying out of Marseille.

This is good advice, given the amount of time you have. Especially that corner of the Basque country. The local metro train in San Sebastian terminates at Irun on the French border. You literally walk ten metres and you're at Hendaye in France, where the TGV takes ten minutes to Bayonne or (my favourite) St Jean-de-Luz. Biarritz airport flies regularly to London, train to Paris is about five hours, so added to the Eurostar would probably eat into your time.

Might be worth hopping on a train from Lisbon to Porto for a day if you're ticking off cities. Porto is pretty nice.

Garner priced at 35 starting edge for Panthers next year is juicy

Turkey has had some of the friendliest people of all the countries I've been to.

I wouldn't go on this trip as its not convenient from Spain/London but if you do go, make sure to get to Cappadocia, that place was amazing.

I'm 313k over the salary cap, which may result in fanhub stripping me of any titles I've won over the last few seasons.

With the extra cash they gave me

    Elliott Mahoney to Grant Robson

I'll take that. Interesting to see how they reverse that.

I can trade but I have an extra 106k in the bank.

Bird straight to Cotter for my 18th man. Lets go.

I had enough to do Palasia to Cotter before last game over 400k then 336k now down to 259k. I reversed Barnett to Fifi trade and got Rapana instead so Barnett to Rapana freed up 282k plus the +100k I had in the bank. This a total piss take

I've got an extra 250k. I reckon we just keep it like it is.

Looks like player prices haven't changed either??

Maybe that Adam Eliott trade I was going to save is now worth it? Not only saves the $35k he should have lost this week and I can spend the extra $126k I've been gifted...
