Cook, Burton, Tago, Haas and Hynes are the only survivors from my round 1 squad.

Hynes is my only survivor.....Burton and Angus left and then came back

That's my lowest retention total ever by a significant margin. I think that goes a long way towards explaining my pretty ordinary season.

Mate I was ranked at 3160 at the end of round 1 which was my lowest rank for the year and believe me I am the first to admit that a HUGE amount of luck was involved in hanging in there and advice from all the gang here, my aim was to try and get into L1 and I,ve managed that so happy with how things panned out.

You've had a huge year brother, don't attribute it all to luck.

While a strong starting team can give you a leg up, the decisions you make along the way definitely contribute to building on it and then maintaining your spot so you should definitely be very happy with the way it's played out! cheer

    Aitken. Oh, and Vailea lol

    Burton out after R6, back in R21. Averages 41 when I own him, 58.9 when I don't.

No Hynes to start one of the greatest blunders in fantasy history.

    TRIPLE POST~!

My man, NRL Physio, stealing my thoughts from the weekend:

Basically that if you are getting fined 4,5,6 times a season like NAS and JWH are, the fines aren't working as a deterrent to dangerous play.

    Clearly it needs a rethink.

It has been raised previously that posts and stories from media bare an uncanny resemblence to discussions had in this forum. Could it be a coincidence or do we deserve a byline ?

i don't really remember what was said at the time, but wasn't it that they didn't want players suspended for minor infractions hence fines? don't think it was ever going to be a deterrent.. more an encouragement.

I think really valid to have fines for minor and/or first offences, but taking the piss with repeat offenders.

I feel 1980/1990s ARL when players actually had to front a judiciary, someone like JWH would've been wiped out for 6-10 weeks years ago, as a final warning to cut the shit and correct their technique. Instead he gets found guilty 436 (estimated) times over his career and barely spends any time not playing.
