    What would people be prepared to pay to have Bateman in their squad next year?
    He's played most of the world cup at centre so it's possible he'd be available there but then again so has Burton and I doubt he'll have DPP in '23.

    EDIT: He has not played a game at centre at the world cup, thanks Rhino for correcting me. Not sure where I got that from Laughing

    I don't watch superleague but reports are Bateman wasn't actually all that good this year. So unless he cam in with CTR DPP he'd probably need to be pretty cheap

    I know you've put him in your fantasy WC team at centre, but he's played none of the World Cup there and am sure he'd be 2RF only. He's also actually been pretty bad since coming back to Super League but maybe he suits the NRL more.

    If he's 2RF only, then reckon he'll be one to aim for later in the season rather than buy at full price.

    Thanks for the heads up! For some reason I had it in my head that he played centre or was at least named there for one of the games but I was wrong!

    Will update my squad changes. Smile

    Angus Crichton takes a big pay cut to stay with Roosters on 600k a season, geez what a shock..... not!

    Taking a big pay cut with massive rising inflation in the prime of your career cough cough ahhmmm..... and for mine he’s the best Aussie second rower currently.

    World Club Challenge will be on in 2023

    St Helens will warm up for the Panthers by playing the Dragons - epic Saints vs Saints match

    Being here 2 weeks makes it 18 teams for a 2 week trial window, everyone playing twice

    Maybe they can also invite them back for Magic Round so no team misses out there

    Fair enough mate it doesn’t to me not for a player in his prime probs the best second rower in the Kangaroos as well. Defs getting some stuff on the side with that deal no doubt about it. We have had to upgrade Murray he’s on 850k now. If we had Murray say on 600k then I could see why people might say alarms bells ring.... but he’s not.

    Would have to be pretty cheap to start with him but if he shows the form from his Raiders stint I'll be straight on. Was a captaincy option when fit
